WORK EXPERIENCE
US DYNAMICS CORPORATION 2005 - 2014
Director of Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production. Currently have
53 employee personnel reports, which consist of 10 QA Inspectors, 33
Production, and 10 Engineers. Provide guidance in products and services to
support the commercial, avionics, scientific and defense industries. Have
worked on cost effective innovative solutions in USD's 85,000 square foot
facility. Guided team of engineers and technicians in repairing, reverse
engineering and factory new assemblies and sub-assemblies for many
airborne, ground-based and shipboard systems. Areas of expertise include
Radar, Microwave, Communications, Fire Control and Power Supplies. Helped
to establish in-house environmental area, which provides altitude,
temperature, vibration and humidity testing. Established cost and analysis
teams, as well as Six Sigma training classes. Traveled to many of the
United States based Air Force Bases, to conduct audits and contracting
needs. First year with the company, the return rate was 36.7%, was able to
reduce this, in a little over a year to 1.3%. Wrote companies, ISO and
Quality manuals, as well as policies on ESD, Counterfeit Parts, Clean Room,
Safety, and Quality related programs.
HART SYSTEMS 2002 - 2005
Manager Production/QA, in charge of the day to day operations of the
Production floor and the Quality Assurance of product's. Company provided
Scanners (Symbol) and Lap Top Computers, to various stores around the world
for Inventory Control. High volume fast paced daily operations that
included scheduling of scanners, computers and inventory control
documentation. Set-up programs in the computers for each clients store
inventory. Was in charge of 15 employees, and reported to the company
President.
SYMBOL TECHNOLOGIES 2000 - 2002
QA Director, in charge of auditors and Incoming Inspection Department.
Helped to establish ISO, C=0, TQM, and MRB programs. Worked on reduction
of DOA (defects on arrival) systems, which reduced the first year defect
rate by 21%. Was in-charge of 18 auditors and 15 incoming inspection
personnel. In charge of plant ISO programs and all related updates.
Completed C.W. Post Management courses at Symbol University.
AMPROBE INSTRUMENT 1990 - 2000
Vice-President of Quality Assurance (acting) established ISO-9000 program
and inspection techniques in the electronics field. Wrote 200 page ISO
program and Quality Manual as well as company policies. Set-up TQM and COQ
programs with first year reductions of 36.4%. Responsible for all in-
coming, in-process and finished inspection, material handling, calibration
and updates, SPC, source inspection, supplier approval, and mechanical and
electrical testing.
RADIATION DYNAMICS INC. 1988 - 1990
Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for establishing new inspection
techniques in the radiation dynamitron field. Wrote new and updated
procedures. Wrote quality assurance manual and most of the company's
policies. Interfaced with vendors and all aspects of products produced and
traveled internationally. Established MRB and Customer Help Team. In-
charge of in-coming, in-process, final inspection, source, material
handling, contract evaluation, calibrations, SPC, technical writing, and
training. Department consisted of 10 inspector and 6 technicians.
VICON INDUSTRIES 1985 - 1988
Quality Assurance Manager, working with floor production and video
surveillance equipment and monitors. Was in-charge of all phases of
quality inspection. Wrote time study reports as well as manpower
scheduling. Reported directly to the President on a daily basis on over
all status of company quality. Established MRB as well as product history
files and laboratory planning. Directed staff of 11 inspectors and 17
technicians.
SPECTRONICS CORP. 1977 - 1985
Production Manager of sterilization equipment for hospitals and private
physicians. Worked on electrical/mechanical components of sterilization
layouts. In 1979 at the age of 20, I was promoted to Production
Coordinator (youngest in history of company). Managed department that
manufactured x-ray cassettes and grids. Wrote production schedules as well
as work set-ups for production floor, and reported directly to the
President. Responsible for testing of all equipment both Commercial and
Government. Worked with OSHA, FDA, and DOD. My department which consisted
of 12 persons, increased production of cassettes from 1275 a year to over
13,000 units. In 1981, I was asked to become the Quality Manager by the
President. At that time, I was in-charge of divisions that manufactured
cassettes, monotecs, safe lights, oil/gas glow, illuminators, sterilizers,
and EPROM units. Established procedures for x-ray cassettes of detecting
foreign matter (FOD) within the cassette walls. Traveled to hospitals all
over the country and set-up procedures. Company which was considered a
small business (90 persons) had gross revenues of over 100 million plus
dollars.
