. Reduced past due sales from $250,000 to < $5,000 measured each month
also reducing premium freight expense to zero.
. Resolved constant inventory losses with one customer saving $50,000/yr
and debited them back for $85,000 of past loses due to short shipping
product. Our data was conclusive-no argument from the supplier.
. By reviewing supplier agreements and moving some of the value added
processes to the supplier, we were able to realize substantial savings
in value to the supply chain each year.
. By combining raw material purchasing and production control we were
able to substantially reduce inventories at all levels and realize the
subsequent savings.
. I also covered the General Manager's duties when he was out of the
Plant for any reason.

. Developed a kanban system to manage the WIP inventory on our highest
volume product line. Based on color coded material handling carts and
limiting the number of parts on each cart we were able to reduce
inventory drastically and eliminate the need to do a physical count
each month.
. By redefining the work instructions of the shipping clerks through a
kaizen event we were able to reduce finished goods inventory and
remove storage racks allowing more efficient use of space.
. By improving communication with department heads we were able to make
adjustments to the production schedules improving throughput and on
time delivery to the customer.
