Plastics Supervisor
Manage a three shift operation. Equipment consisting of three IMM’s. Two Cincinnati Milacron
110 Roboshots and a fifty five ton Arburg. Extrusion side consists of two extruder lines.
American Kuhne 1.75 and 2.50 single screw. Conair downstream equipment with Automated
Assembly packing machines. Responsibilities are unlimited and range from maintenance supply,
repair and compliance, changeovers, inventory of raw and finished goods, and constant upgrades
to increase productivity. Have exceeded variance expectations on all j/o’s that run through
plastics. When I was brought in, Superbrush was buying thirty five percent of the extrusion and
molded handles. Through machine and mold upgrades that I initiated, we currently buy less than
five percent. Assisted company in obtaining ISO 9001:2008 quality registration. This entailed
developing, learning and utilizing the new specifications for the plastics department and training
my direct reports, which included three shifts. N.C.M.R.’s (non-conforming material
reports)have been greatly reduced due to a tireless methodical approach.
Plastic Packaging Corporation 2005-2011
Lead Technician
Seventeen machine capacity. 16, 400-700 ton Husky’s, and one 500 ton Nestal Synergy. CBW
side entry robotics used. Stack molding with air eject. Molded for the food packaging market.
Responsible for production goals, reinstating cavitation loss, and corrective action on tools.
Brought a positive leadership style and documentation to this company. Supervision of fifteen
employees. Assisted engineering staff in projects, and material sampling and testing.
Aearo Company 1997-2005
Process Technician Lead
D10 lead technician position. PPE manufacturer. Component molding was made up of two lines,
consisting of eighteen Cincinnati Milacron Roboshots ranging from 110 ton to 165 ton. Third
line consisted of two New Britain’s, three Van Dorn’s and Six Engel’s.(Repro and EC series with
tie barless machine. Prioritized and directed mold changes of head&hearing, single lens, and
respiratory components. Lens area was made up of twelve larger tonnage presses molding lenses
conveying into cells with coaters. Ranger and Yushin robotics used with mounted cutters for
lens tab. Played a key role in the introduction and manufacturing of IR, Lazer, Arc Block,
IO(indoor/outdoor) vacuum coating as well.
Was affluent in all areas of molding and secondary machines.(Ultra sonic welders, baggers,
assembly machines)
Risdon Corporation 1993-1997
Supervisor
Fragrance market. Third shift position, supervising twenty plus operators, and floor personnel.
Nissei machines were used with pioneer robotics. Central Kenvay material system utilized with
indoor silos. Mold changes, corrective action on processes, and supervision were
responsibilities. Attended CMEA, management, and Supervisory principles courses and
seminars.
