Successfully grew the role of Component Engineering to Component and further Product Obsolescence

Management to become critical group that repeatedly succeeded to secure Government contract for

ISS in-service support and improvement package featuring supply support services, delivery of technical

documentation, spare parts, training, programme management in excess of 150M$/annually for the past 15

years.

• Spearheaded the company ROHS transformation in reaction to the new EU legislation. Quality Audit and

Demonstrated compliance helped securing 2.5+billion dollar contract with Government Client from United

Kingdom.

• Teamed up with Supply Chain Management / Logistics to play key role along with Supply Chain department to

achieve corporate goal of tenfold reduction in approved material sources that increased procurement process

efficiency improvement and brought along associated cost savings. Three positions were eliminated and not

replaced without impact to material flow.

• Leveraged time-risk reporting for major products to guide Client to the best timing for new technology insertion

to keep product manufacturable for up to 20years while minimizing material cost tied up by last-time-buys.

• For 19 years Company's GIDEP liaison interfacing with Government Agencies and Industry peers,

responsible for completion of associated reporting obligations.

Support to hardware engineering group during product design phase with component selection with focus

on quality, product reliability, parts life-cycle and availability. Support to SCM Supply Chain Management

department via multi-sourcing resulted in material cost reduction, shortened lead-time and enhanced

availability to Manufacturing Operations.

• Established the use of Approved Manufacturer List (AML) and Approved Supplier List (ASL) to select, qualify,

approved and control the list of material/component. It proved valuable to HW design and for Supply Chain

Management and IQC. Participated in Vendor Quality Audits and selection. Chair of Material Review Board

for non-conforming material disposition. Corrective Action Review with material vendors.

• Re-organized the documentation control system to fully electronic database while leveraging company

intranet environment to effectively disseminate specifications in searchable pdf document format. The OEM

data augmented by life-cycle information, availability, component cost, quality and counterfeit risk.
