According to program mandate: 'Inspire youths and adolescents in Québec into gaining an
active lifestyle’. Ran after-school activities at elementary schools across Laurentian region
north of Montreal, with focus on communities with low socio-economic profiles.

Responsible for creating stimulating learning experiences to improve the English
communications abilities of Japanese high school students. Responsible as well for developing
and running each Kyoto school's basketball and volleyball programs as well as the English
Speaking Society. Learned Kansai dialect of Japanese in the process.

1999-2006: Camp Tawingo, Huntsville, Ontario, leading international summer camp with
participants from around the world. Variety of roles over an eight year period. From
leadership training program in first year to counselor to program coordinator in later
summers, took leadership roles in creating and supervising learning experiences for
participants as well as counseling and the managing of camp experiences for all under
supervision.

communication of detailed answers to life insurance professionals regarding existing insurance
contracts, equally in French and English. Represented the company on resolution of
contractual issues and problem-solved within a small team of professionals.

2010: Government of Canada, Parliament Hill, Ottawa Ontario. Assistant to the
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Status of Women Hon. Rona Ambrose,
Sylvie Boucher M.P. for Beauport-Limoilou. Was the political aide for the Parliamentary
Secretary who served as Government Leader on the Committee for the Status of Women and
as spokesperson for the Minister of the Status of Women in Parliament. Was responsible for all
research and preparatory work regarding the issues at play and in briefing the Parliamentary
Secretary prior to committee meetings and parliamentary debates. Fulfilled this role until the
end of the parliamentary session in August 2010.
! - 2007 Canadian Naval Reserves, HMCS Catarqui, Kingston Ontario. Naval

Communicator, with rank of Ordinary Seaman. Completed Basic Military Qualification Course
(Boot Camp) in 2005 following third year at Queen’s University. Trained as a specialist in
communication at sea on HMCS Cataraqui in Kingston during the following year. In 2006,
completed the Naval Environmental Training Program in Esquimalt, British Columbia.
Requested and received Honourable Discharge in 2007 due to living and working in Japan at
that time.
