My duties consist of reviewing freight manifests to ensure accuracy of shipping

information and proof that the freight matches up with the information on the bills

of lading, manifest and any other corresponding paperwork that may accompany

freight such as a proper Form A, Form 8125, and OSD (Overage, Shortage and

Damage) Forms.

If in the event freight does not match up exactly to the bill of lading and manifest,

it is my job to track the origin of the freight to find its proper loading location; this

also includes:

- Re-weighing the freight if the weight is heavy or light by fifty pounds.

- Ensuring that the total number of units being shipped is correct according to the

bill of lading.

- Repairing any damage to the freight if possible (or making a damage report if

unable to repair.)

- Creating a report if freight does not match the bill of lading and any FedEx

Shipping labels.

- Attempting to locate a proper bill of lading for any un-manifested freight, or

creating a new bill of lading.

- Verifying all information on any international shipment is correct and authentic.

It is a critical point of my job to ensure that all international shipments (imported

or exported) have the proper paperwork (Form A, bill of lading, etc.) for transport.

I must also label them with necessary identification labels and tape, and ensure

that the shipment is compliant with FedEx code and national/international law.

I also work with hazardous materials being shipped. I must ensure that each

hazardous material is loaded properly and with the correct matching paperwork

both on the bill of lading and on the manifest; I also placard the corresponding

trailer with the proper hazardous material placards. I am well aware of laws and

watch lists pertaining to hazardous materials and non-hazardous materials

nationally and internationally. I am well trained in reading, interpreting and

advising others on the usage of the Material Safety Data Sheets MSDS) manual. I

am also well trained on the loading procedures of all FedEx applicable hazmat

shipments.

in a timely manner. I give daily reports on any damaged, lost or unknown freight if

any is located. I also work alongside OSD Personnel when any freight deemed

OSD is located. I also inventory and manage any appointment or dock-pick up

shipments for the next day.

basic loading procedures, hazmat loading, forklift operation and maintenance and

rules, regulations and laws.

I am formally trained to use a LPG powered forklifts and attachments such as

clamp-trucks, roll/barrel attachments, and side shifters.

Supervisor: Marcia Woods (1-800-***-****)

My duties consisted of address canvassing and quality control for the 2010

Census. A normal day would involve me canvassing a selected area; that would be

appointed to me by my team leader, and ensuring that all previous information that

had been gathered by the person who did the initial canvas was correct. If the

information was not correct, I would have to re-canvass the location by using a

hand-held GPS computer to make map plots on a digital map.

It was also my job to notify people of my position, and inform them about the

importance of the 2010 Census. I would ask them for their cooperation by letting

me know how many people lived in the current home for the purpose of

demographics. I also let homeowners know that I would be canvassing the area

and plotting map points so they would not be alarmed at my presence.

Package Loader/Line Sorter

Supervisor: Jose Reyes 214-***-****)

Okay to contact this Supervisor: Yes

My duties involved sorting, scanning and continually lifting, lowering, sliding and

loading packages into UPS trailers for transport to cities around the United States.

I am proud to say I was one of the few employees who had learned most of the zip

codes for my area (known as the Green.)

As a line sorter, I sorted packages to their correct locations by zip code and city

name. It was my job to ensure that every package that passed through the line was

on its way to the correct location. Any packages I caught that did not belong I

would have to put aside until I was able to find their correct location. Eventually I

began continually working up to three sort lines daily during different times when

packages were backing up the line. I received much praise for my speed and

accuracy when sorting during this time.

placed it in a bag where the driver would then add it to a lock box at a later time.
