Reported to Chief Operating Officer; responsible for production operations

and production planning for three domestic production facilities that

produce custom low voltage copper and fiber optic cable assemblies for the

data communication and audio video markets on a quick turn basis. Produced

revenue for manufactured product of approximately $20M annually. Also

served as Production Manager.

Conducted analysis to identify gaps in the materials management function

and developed plans to add functions that were needed and improve existing

functions which included S&OP planning process, centralized production

planning, and bringing up capacity planning in SAP. These changes raised

awareness where the function was absent and transferred the work from the

existing functions to appropriate associates.

Developed and implemented a formal program that identified needs for

training of hourly workforce on proper procedures for each step of the

production process in order to maintain product quality and consistency and

to maximize efficiency. Increased training capacity from 2-3 new

associates per month to 10-12 per month.

Worked closely with the Director of Sales to resolve differences between

Sales and Operations Departments which improved the relationship between

the two groups.

production planning for facility that produced low voltage custom fiber

optic and copper cable assemblies on a quick turn basis. Also responsible

for production planning in the Hickory facility which had $7.5M in produced

revenue in 2012.

Increased production efficiency from low 70%'s to 82% from 2009 through

2012 by updating shop floor layout to improve process flow and introducing

metrics to track performance.

Developed a process for tracking earned hours in the ERP system to provide

objective visibility to plant efficiency.

Grew Hickory, NC, facility 303% in produced revenue since 2009 by bring up

a third shift, adding additional equipment on existing shifts and adding

additional supervisors to staff.

Production Planner

Reported to the Director of Planning; responsible for planning production

for all Moretz Sports brand sport socks products produced internally and

for purchasing finished goods from international and domestic suppliers.

Revenue for Moretz brand accounted for roughly 50K dozen pairs annually.

Ensured that appropriate inventory levels were maintained based on customer

demand and sales order forecast. Ensured that goods were available for

distribution to ship in a timely manner. Responsible for expediting needed

goods for shipments when customer demand exceeded forecast and identifying

alternative goods to use as substitutions while ensuring appropriate

margins were maintained.

Reported to Chief Operating Officer, Led distribution center for a hosiery

manufacturing operation. Managed an 80K square foot warehouse facility;

responsible for quality control, safety, inventory control, receiving,

shipping and traffic.

Developed plan and implemented material handling equipment to manage the

flow of product through the facility (gravity fed flow bins, conveyor belts

and PCs) which increased cube utilization, inventory accuracy and

efficiency.

Reorganized the warehouse layout to create organization, better product

flow and increase warehouse utilization.

Introduced system to measure department metrics to enable management of

daily revenue and product quality and improve service level.

Worked with IT to bring up bar-coding capability to increase inventory

Developed Kanban process to manage sub-assembly inventory which increased
