and production planning for three domestic production facilities that
produce custom low voltage copper and fiber optic cable assemblies for the
data communication and audio video markets on a quick turn basis. Produced
revenue for manufactured product of approximately $20M annually. Also
served as Production Manager.
Conducted analysis to identify gaps in the materials management function
and developed plans to add functions that were needed and improve existing
functions which included S&OP planning process, centralized production
planning, and bringing up capacity planning in SAP. These changes raised
awareness where the function was absent and transferred the work from the
existing functions to appropriate associates.
Developed and implemented a formal program that identified needs for
training of hourly workforce on proper procedures for each step of the
production process in order to maintain product quality and consistency and
to maximize efficiency. Increased training capacity from 2-3 new
associates per month to 10-12 per month.
Worked closely with the Director of Sales to resolve differences between
Sales and Operations Departments which improved the relationship between
the two groups.

2012 by updating shop floor layout to improve process flow and introducing
metrics to track performance.
Developed a process for tracking earned hours in the ERP system to provide
objective visibility to plant efficiency.
