• Industrial visit to “DEISEL POWER PLANT, EXIDE BATTERY” and “HOSUR

POWER SUB STATION”.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT:

Final year project work for “HIGH STEP-UP DC-DC CONVERTER FOR

AC PHOTOVOLTIC APPLICATION”. Within the Photovoltaic power-generation market,

the Photovoltaic module has shown obvious growth. However, a high voltage gain converter

is essential for the module’s grid connection through a dc–ac inverter. This project presents a

very high step-up dc–dc converter. This design features low voltage stress on the switch, high

efficiency, and simple control. The low energy storage requirements provide a more effective

integration. The detailed operating principles and steady-state analyses of continuous,

discontinuous, and boundary conduction modes are described. A 2-MHz prototype of the

proposed converter is designed and implemented. The gate driver provides variable duty

cycle and possibility of the control of the converter at very high frequencies. Experimental

results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Future scope for project : it is integrated with in electronic devices.Reduces need for

external adapters. Hence used for all kind of inverters.Used for universal line low voltage

applications.
