CORPORATE CONTROLLER Optimum Staffing, Inc. is a privately owned
s taffing entity specializing in providing temporary t ruck drivers to companies
t hroughout the United States. Additionally, I am the Corporate Controller
for 4 other affiliated entities ranging from full time employee placement to a
P rofessional Employer Organization (PEO). Total employees are 1,500 with
combined revenues of $110MM.
• Strategic leadership – work closely with ownership to maximize profit
potential by seeking worker’s compensation alternatives, health insurance
savings and reducing Corporate overhead and expenses.
• Financial management – p reparation of monthly financial statements for
four entities, covering financial results for 17 branch offices. Review
s tatements on a monthly basis with owners of company. Prepare budget
versus actual reporting on a monthly basis. Calculate quarterly
commission payments.
• Human Resources – administrator for two 401k plans, responsible for
m aintaining a compliant plan and for compiling census reporting for
annual outside audits.
• Audit and tax management – p repare payroll tax returns in 40 states and
closely monitor tax deposits on a weekly basis. All payroll tax returns
i ncluding W-2 processing are performed in house. Solely responsible for
working with outside auditors for annual financial review.
• Banking relationships – work daily with banks to monitor cash position
i ncluding line of credit and investment potential.
• Direct Supervision – responsible for the Payroll, Accounts Payable and
Accounts Receivable departments with only two Staff Accountants.
• Accounting and payroll software – maintain cutting edge software
t echnology. I have solely implemented two system conversions and
currently serve as an active beta tester for Ul t ra-Staff.
• Mergers and Acquisitions – responsible for integrating dozens of acquired
companies staff payroll, union compensation, 401k, vacation and
associated records into Optimum Staffing, Inc’s umbrella, often with just
days of notice.
