Summary of Studies:
September 2004 to May 2007: I completed studies at Pedro Martinez Brito
High School in Ciego de Avila, Cuba.
I finished and completed the formation of my general studies.
August 2007 to December 2011: I enrolled at the Universidad Tecnologica de
Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Where I pursued and completed the Bachelor Degree in General Psychology.
I am currently doing an online degree in International Counceling at the
University of Zalamanca, Colombia.
I'm also working on my Master's Degree in Psychology in Guadalajara,
Mexico.
That will be done in February 2015.
Summary of Work Experience:
Since October 2008 I started working in the private clinical facility of
Universidad Tecnologica de Guadalajara, Mexico.
For six months I was doing professional practices of Techniques of
Evaluation in Childhood and Adolescents as a part of my university
education.
Later in May 2009 to September 2011, I worked in Monte Alban Institute that
is a private school in Guadalajara, Mexico; as a Psychopedagogy Assistant
and Mental Health Counselor.
The essence of the work was the fusion between students, parents and
institution.
These are some of the functions that I exercised as a Psychopedagogist:
- Assessment and intervention psychology.
- Identification of the child's learning potential.
- Guidance for teachers and parents.
- Provide to the teacher and parent resources and skills in order to
respond to the children's needs.
- Assist in the monitoring of children with special needs and guide
them.
- Promote the linkage between the institution and family.
- Make organizational proposals for the child orientation.
- Promoting learning processes that make sense to the participants.
- Guidance and support for parents to motivate the development of their
children.
- Strategies for the development of study skills to improve the
conditions of teaching and learning.
As a Mental Health Counselor:
- Counseling with children, teachers and families for preventive care,
promoting mental health in the school and home, and the integral
development of the person.
- Mental Evaluation of children with family issues and promotes healthy
family relationships for all members of the family.
- Crisis Intervention and Emergency Psychotherapy.
- Group therapies among members of a classroom, between members of a
classroom and teachers, between members of a classroom with teachers
and parents, and also between individual students and their parents,
or teachers and parents.
About February 2013 to April 2014 I worked for Varsity Facilities Services.
This is an international cleaning services provider company. My fundamental
task was the daily supervision and training of twenty to about thirty
employees.
On April 2014 I started working in Southwest Key Programs performing the
duties as a Youth Care Worker.
- Conduct intake services to include but not limited to: completing
necessary paperwork.
- Providing youth with an overview of the program services and for
initial placements of youth in to the shelter.
- Provide basic needs to youth upon arrival to the program (to include
but not limited to: meal, clothing, hygiene products, shower and
bedroom assignment).
- Must provide Direct Care Services to youth to ensure that ratios and
appropriate supervision levels are continuously met as per state and
federal requirements.
- Develop positive rapport with youth while serving as a role model to
create a safe and caring environment.
- Must ensure all forms and progress notes (efforts) are properly
completed in SWK's web-based program (ETO) to ensure compliance with
state and federal requirements.
- Provide vocational courses and curriculum in a subject area and assist
with the coordination of Physical Education instruction.
