Used Excel and SAS to create organization’s audit dataset of over 10,000 public companies from Audit Analytics, to give
Associate Director easy access to data on market share of accounting firms.
Used Excel to create and update Emerging Growth Company (EGC) dataset from SEC filings in Edg er database, to give
coworkers easy access to oversee emerging growth companies.
Used S&P Capital IQ to analyze risks associated with issuers, and communicated these risks to other groups within PCAOB to
reduce potential risk of audit failure.

Analysis of Relationship between Wind Power Generation and Other Energy Prices February-May 2014
Used SAS to conduct correlation analysis and generate multiple linear regression model, to find indicators, such as crude oil
prices, natural gas prices, and nominal GDP, that influence wind power generation in the United States.
Used SAS to generate deterministic time series model to find exponential trend and influence of seasonality on wind power
generation.
Data Analysis of United States CO2 Emissions in G lobal Context October-December 2013
Professor doubted accuracy of recent findings, and assigned us to double -check for accuracy
Replicated original statistical model in book “Climate Change Justice” using dataset from World Bank, and found 3 obvious
errors.
Used SAS to create better model using robust regression, which could better explain amount of CO2 emissions per capita and
relative position of United States in global context in 2002.
Results: Found positive relationship betwee n CO2 emissions per capita and GDP per capita, as well as gasoline, and United
States looked bad in terms of CO2 emissions in global context.
Data Analysis of Risk Factors for Systolic Blood Pressure April-May 2013
Used SAS to conduct multivariate regression analysis, to identify possible risk factors for systolic blood pressure (SBP).
Conducted one-way ANOVA to examine influence of Body Mass Index (BMI) on SBP.
Conducted two-way ANOVA to examine influence of BMI and race on SBP.
Results: Found that people with higher BMI tended to have higher systolic blood pressure, and that people of African
ancestry tended to have higher systolic blood pressure than people of European ancestry.
Analysis of Relationship between Asset Structure and Financial Performance March-June 2012
Collected and analyzed 5 years of financial statements for 63 manufacturing companies, to study financial indicators.
Used SPSS to conduct correlation analysis and regression analysis.
Results: Determined negative linear relationship between debt ratio and return on equity.
Analysis of Financial Reports for Angang Steel Company, Ltd. February-June 2011
Analyzed the valuation of tangible and intangible assets and analyzed 5 years of company’s key financial indicators, to
measure performance and trends.
Conducted horizontal industry comparisons, to identify rankings and provide recommendations regarding asset structures and
profit models.
Results: Determined that the value of patents and brand recognition was overstated.
Recycling of Public Textbooks Research and Statistical Analysis September-December 2010
Designed and distributed questionnaire to 300 participants, to collect a nd analyze survey data.
Interviewed students, teachers, and bookstore personnel to determine recycling behaviors and expectations.
Provided reports and recommendations to university textbook department and promoted textbook recycling.
Recognition: Won University “Nobel Prize” in Statistics.
