• International Research Collaborations: Supported technical collaborations in bioenergy with China,
France, Canada, and the International Energy Agency, and provided budget planning and analytical support
for international projects across DOE.
• Strategic Communications: Develop technical content for diverse communications materials, including
speeches for senior DOE officials, magazine articles, issue briefings and memos, outreach and informational
material, web content, presentations, webinars, and social media.
• Technical Research: Provide research for congressional reports, policy briefings, and stakeholder
engagement initiatives; designed and implemented a quantitative analysis of media coverage of the biofuels
industry to inform DOE’s communications strategy.
• Project Management: Led a team of 15 staff in implementing a 15-month, external peer review of the 220
projects in BETO’s research portfolio (value $1.5 B), which involved managing all review activities,
designing the evaluation process, guiding development of IT applications, and leading coordination of 50
reviewers and 220 project managers. Generated an original quantitative analysis of project scores,
synthesized review results, published the Peer Review Final Report, and presented outcomes to senior DOE
officials.
• Comprehensive Event Planning: Managed all aspects of the planning and implementation of three annual
biomass conferences, with 600+ stakeholders, and speakers from industry, Congress, and the White House.
CLIENT: U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), Geothermal Training Program
• Supported proposal development, organization, and implementation of an Indonesia Geothermal Power
Deployment Training Program in January 2011.
