WORK HISTORY P recision

Aerospace Corp 2008 – laid off on Oct 16th 2013

Quality technician r esponsible for all final, incoming, and filling out raw material certs.

A nd all other certs required for that particular component. My eyes and my microscope

were the last stop before shipment. No mistakes. Even if we were to t ranspose a heat

n umber accidently, the company would get fined. We were held to the highest of standards.

Our controlled documents had to be maintained from where and when the metal was oared

f rom the ground until i t was on a plane flying in the sky. Controlled documents were to be

available and kept for 35 years. I’ve had my hands on every piece of measuring equipment

f rom simple micrometers to CMM’s. I created graphs and charts for our BOT (bill of tools)

t heir location and calibration dates. I was in contact with our customers in Rockford,

Zeeland and Colorado. Proficient in blue print reading, t roubleshooting, and have a keen

eye for detail. Can stay focused, during crunch t ime and love a good challenge. I’m also good

a t spotting more cost effective ways of doing things, and getting them done in a t imely

manner. I have patience and consideration when working amongst other cultures. If I can

teach autistic children classical piano, I have the tenacity to do whatever my job asks of me.

ASR I nternational 2008-2009

I ndependent contractor technical quality auditor working for ASR In ternational.

Went to various companies throughout M ichigan to inspect their processes regarding

shipment dates, documents, cross ref. all serial and/or tag numbers, PO numbers, WO

n umbers. Making sure they were adhering to whatever guidelines each client/sub vender

was asking for i.e.; QS900:2000, TS16949, certain ID numbers or updated AS Certification,

and the like.

Lear Corp. 1999-2003

Quality supervisor d irectly responsible for twelve quality technicians. Making sure their

hourly checks were getting done, and all the doc’s that come with that. Making sure all

measuring equipment was calibrated. Keeping up with constant engineering changes and

revision dates. The juggling of hours, vacation dates, union rules. Then they put me in

charge of six more auditing/shipping/receiving staff. Making sure all the documents, counts,

and parts were compliant before dispatching drivers to expedite shipments. After two years

an engineering lab position opened up in the south reliabili ty lab. A nice bump in pay, and I

would be working with a genius named Tom Giesert. Thir ty candidates applied with

various engineering degrees. I got the position and was the only female ever in the lab’s 26

year history. First; I re-organized the entire filing system so that it made sense and could

easily be reviewed by GM auditors. Did all incoming first articles. Tom and I did all the life

cycle testing and all PPAP’s that were submit ted. All cap studies CPK’s etc. Maintained all

l ab records and changed them frequently via word, excel, power point, many charts and

g raphs. Assisted manufacturing/engineering and SQE. Also consulted with customers on

t roubleshooting and on t ime delivery. I love this work and have been doing it all of my life.

M y word is my bond. If I say I’ll do something, i t will get done--with a smile on my face!

Warm regards,

K im Myers
