Reduction of cylinder Bore distortion due to cylinder Head Assembly
- Tightening process of Torque Plate before Honing and Cylinder Head
in Assembly improved to reduce the difference in Clamp load of
Bolts. The Distortion has reduced from 60 microns to 30 microns
Reduction Piston Scuffing in Field. A major modification in piston
profile and cylinder block bore size was done to reduce this
failure. Modifications in Cylinder Head water passage and Water pump
were also done to increase the water flow rate from 135 lit/min to
175 lit/min
Reduction of Rejection of Engine in Leak test due to Internal
Punctures in Block and Head. This required developing a method of
identifying the areas of leakage in cylinder block and heads
