WORK HISTORY
7/2013 – Current: Peacock Engineering Company – Sr. Maintenance Manager
I am the Sr. ranking Maintenance Manager within the company, reporting directly to the Facility Manager,
which provides high speed packaging and production to a 3rd party customer. This is a start-up project in which
multiple phases of equipment are brought in, placed into specific rooms, and placed into production. This is a
facility in which there are both FDA and USDA regulated processes are utilized and adhered to. My role
includes developing new processes, develop and instill new KPI’s for the department procedures utilizing 5S
and Lean processes, hiring and development of a new staff of 29 maintenance technicians, developing Standard
Operating Procedures, ensuring all safety rules are followed, energy management, refrigeration systems control,
budget control for all building, refrigeration, and processing equipment, training new team members. This also
includes working with sanitation, Quality Control, Operations, Engineering, outside contractors, OEM service
technicians, while also meeting on a weekly basis with Executive Management and customers regarding
progress and performance of the new facility. I am a hands-on Manager, I spend a considerable amount of time
in the processing area ensuring reliability of the HFFS and packaging equipment, performing tooling change
over’s, provide technical support, GMP enforcement, HVAC refrigeration system, Nitrogen system, and training
to my team of technicians.

1/2013 –4/2013: Millard Refrigerated Services - Regional Maintenance Manager
This is a new title with accountability over multiple facilities; duties include but are not limited to the
Facility Compliance Program, Refrigeration maintenance, building maintenance, MHE maintenance,
Energy/Utility management, project management, and maintenance training, reporting directly to the
Director of Maintenance. Provide day to day support and guidance to facility engineers with regard to
projects, CER procedures, maintenance issues, interaction with General Managers, and Regional Vice
Presidents on a frequent basis.
5/2011 – 1/2013: Millard Refrigerated Services - Regional Engineering Manager (Duel Role)
(Interim Director of Corporate Maintenance 8/11 -1/2013)
Manage day to day functions of the maintenance department companywide, with responsibility for 36
maintenance facilities across the United States and Canada. During this time, I continued to personally
maintain the Regional Engineer position for 12 facilities. My duties included but were not limited to
interviewing all facility and regional maintenance manager candidates, lead department meetings, and work
with department managers/Directors/ RVP’s/ VP’s on various projects and company issues, also responsible
for a $7MM company P&L. Develop 5 year maintenance budget for 36 maintenance departments and
oversee all Capital Improvement Projects, including development, cost justification, project management,
development and implementation of a company safety training program that included facility Engineers and
General Managers. Contract negotiations with all corporate account vendors, approve all company PNET
(purchasing) orders, annual performance appraisals for all team members, monitor utilities dashboard on a
daily basis, review daily reports from M&M ammonia refrigeration controls system for 27 facilities, develop
and implement TPM program, LEAN Process, 5S program, member of the compliance technical team, and
review CMMS open work orders on a weekly basis. Develop and present improvement proposals to the
Executive Committee and Owner. Work with legal team regarding OSHA and EPA complaint and pending
litigation, work with compliance Director/team members on PHA’s, EPA audits, recommendations. Respond
to all insurance audit questions as requested by Risk Management department, approve all refrigeration and
PSM training for maintenance team members and schedule compliance training for new General Managers.
Perform thermal imaging, vibration analysis, compressor motor alignments; provide technical support and
guidance for facilities under my direct responsibility. Work with Nestle management on various inspections,
audits, and projects. Assist facility engineers with CER’s, projects, hands-on troubleshooting, M&M system
issues, staffing needs, and wage negotiations.
6/2008 – 5/2011: Millard Refrigerated Services - Regional Engineer
Oversee and provide technical support for 7 to 12 facilities, work with engineers, GM’s, and RVP’s to
ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Perform thermal imaging, vibration analysis, compressor
motor alignments; provide technical support and guidance for facilities under my direct responsibility. Work
with Nestle management on various inspections, audits, and project management. Remove/reset
compressors, rebuild ammonia pumps, replace shaft seals, replace and rebuild valves, manage all
regulatory/compliance at facilities including EPA & OSHA inspections, along with learning Canadian
regulations and TSSA standards. I also had management oversight of the company’s production facilities
including the Subway bread production ( raw products to finished goods ) account and our HPP (High
Pressure Pasteurization Process) facilities.
11/2006 – 6/2008: Millard Refrigerated Services - Facility Engineer in Geneva/Batavia Illinois
Manage the day to day maintenance operations for 2 facilities, meet with General Managers, improve
maintenance performance and reduce equipment downtime in areas of MHE, building, and refrigeration
through hands-on training of the department members. Manage monthly budgets, develop annual budgets,
manage PSM programs for both facilities, and improve facility appearance. Install RF systems, remove and
reset compressor, rebuild ammonia pumps, replace shaft seals, repair and replace valves.
8/2001 – 11/2006: Atlas Cold Storage - Facility Operating Engineer
Specific duties were to manage the day to day business of the department while maintaining and
repairing the ammonia refrigeration system, material handling equipment, and building, along with
controlling the monthly budget. Prepare annual budgetary numbers based on a 5 year projection, installation
project management, manage regulatory programs, regularly attend LEPC meetings, implement energy
management programs, Safety Administrator, and maintain the OSHA safety logs. Remove and reset
compressor, rebuild ammonia, glycol, and water pumps, replace shaft seals, replace and repair ammonia
valves.
While at Atlas Cold Storage, because of my previous experience, I was given the task of building a PSM
program for the facility. An EPA inspector reviewed the program during an unannounced visit for over 12
hours and found no deficiencies. Regarding Continuous Improvement, I implemented and installed ASI
impactable freezer doors reducing downtime and repair labor by 92% over hard panel doors. Reduced
energy consumption by 27% through the introduction and utilization of motion sensors and fluorescent
lighting throughout the facility. Further energy reduction was accomplished through kw monitoring by
utilization of the M&M refrigeration control system, on peak and off peak energy management, curtailment
and rebate programs.
12/1986 – 8/2001: Wiscold/TLC - Operations 7 years – Maintenance and Lead Mechanic 8 years
I hired in as a forklift operator working in all areas of the business, truck, rail, and trans-loading
docks. I was promoted to 2nd shift truck dock lead after 90 days, responsible for all inbound and outbound
trucks, along with inventory control. After 6 months, I was transferred to 1st shift rail dock lead, in which I
managed the daily loading/unloading of rail cars, at this time, I began working in maintenance due to the
small staff. These duties included planning, performance monitoring of associates, damage control, and
product management. I was then given the responsibilities of the Trans-loading dock, my duties included
customer satisfaction meetings, labor control, tonnage reports, BOL documentation, and time management.
When I assumed the responsibility of this area, the department was operating at 7000lb/man hour, through
innovative and forward thinking; I was able to elevate the output to 42,000lb/man hour. During 1993, I was
given the opportunity to join the maintenance department full time, where after 2 years; I was promoted to
2nd shift maintenance lead. Once I returned to day shift as the lead, I began working with the facility
engineer; I was involved in building a PSM program development and implementation for 2 buildings at this
multi-site complex due to my experience working on the refrigeration system, then receiving my RETA
certification in 1999. During the absence of the Maintenance Manager, I would assume his duties and
responsibilities. I spent 2.5 years running the meat processing and packaging area along with the IQF
vegetable lines. I was also the Assistant Safety Administrator; the duties included incident investigations,
meetings, and presentations.
3/1984 – 12/1986: Montgomery Ward - Automotive Mechanic
Perform all areas of mechanical repairs to automotive and light trucks including but not limited to:
Tune ups, brake repair / replacement, front / rear wheel alignments, exhaust repair / replacement, and
troubleshoot / repair various types of electrical problems.
