Industrial and manufacturing engineering duties, as well as machine shop
operator work.
In June 1993, Caterpillar's UAW work force went on strike. Throughout the
remaining seven months of my internship, I operated CNC grinders and lathes. I
was responsible for the preventive maintenance of my equipment, the material
handling robots and conveyors feeding my stations. I set up the machines for
different part numbers and am experienced in tool changes on both grinders and
lathes.
