Dear Community Leader,
I am interested to contribute my expertise in forging partnerships that
lead to success. While I have served diverse populations successfully, my
distinctive passion has promoted the well-being of young individuals with
whom I have worked daily for most of the past 15 years.
In my work, I have provided intensive case management and community based
services for children, teenagers, adults, and adults with mental and
physical disabilities. To accomplish this, I communicated effectively and
solved problems as they occurred for individuals with various skill levels
and diverse backgrounds. My responsibilities have included conducting
meetings, training and supervising employees, performing assessments,
preparing treatment plan report, and interacting with clients in their
homes.
I have worked extensively with many community mental health and school
professionals in both Michigan and Indiana. During my career it has been my
goal to provide the most appropriate support system for the individuals who
need them. I am connected with an extensive network of fellow
professionals who share my commitment for success.
My experience in recreation, mental health, and education has prepared me
to contribute to your organization. At your convenience, I would welcome
an opportunity to discuss further how my skills and experience can be best
utilized in your organization.
Sincerely,
Allen Childs

To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter of reference for Allen Childs. I
have known and worked with Allen for less than a year where he was hired as
a Family and Community School Specialist (FACSS) for one of our Title I
schools. One of my duties as the Title I Compliance Officer is to
supervise the FACSS in our school district.
Even though our working relationship spans less than a year, I found that
Allen was a quick study and his learning curve for the complicated position
of the FACSS was commendable. Allen preformed all required Title I duties
and paperwork in a timely manner, worked diligently to secure services for
the families of identified at-risk students in his school and collaborated
well with others to obtain and provide support where needed. Allen was
instrumental in soliciting and helping to organize community involvement in
a partnership for a summer program to support student success.
In his capacity as a FACSS, Allen took pride in doing a job well. He
worked directly with students in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
He also worked with the parents of identified at-risk students to provide
strategies on how parents could assist their children at home.
Allen is an enthusiastic, dedicated, compassionate professional and a true
advocate for children and their families. He would be a valuable asset to
your staff.
Sincerely,
Patricia A. Pittman

RE: Allen Childs
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter serves as a recommendation for Allen Childs. I have known Mr.
Childs, both professionally and personally, since 2007. I met him
initially while working in the Intensive Case Management department for
adolescents at Swanson Center in LaPorte, IN. He was a case manager and I
was a staff therapist.
Mr. Childs consistently took pride in his work and never failed to bring
compassion and dedication to each adolescent on his caseload. He
diligently advocated for them when needed, but was also able to firmly hold
them accountable as necessary. It was always clear Mr. Childs truly loved
the work and enjoyed the adolescents with whom he interacted.
I found Mr. Childs to be flexible in working with other staff members,
however, never hesitant to speak his mind in a respectful manner. As a
therapist, I experienced him as a willing collaborator in an effort to
create the best treatment approach for the client. He demonstrated
considerable knowledge of the needs of adolescents, as well as the workings
of the system, whether DCS or Probation, in which the adolescents were
placed. His ability to be diplomatic is a great asset in working both with
families, systems and with staff.
Mr. Childs was dependable. He rarely missed a day at work, often worked
later than scheduled to finish tasks, responded in a timely manner to all
communications and readily kept the team informed on any matters related to
his clients.
It is with supreme confidence I recommend Allen Childs. He will certainly
be an asset to your staff and your program. Please feel free to call me
with any questions: 219-***-****

Re: Allen Childs
I have had the opportunity to see WIA Youth Specialist Allen Childs at work
with the students about whom he obviously cares a great deal. Allen has
brought groups of his students to our Niles Campus at Bertrand Crossing
over the past year, and his energy and drive are what made the events
successful and enjoyable. The students obviously are able to relate well to
him and he has thoughtfully developed programs to improve their skills and
enhance their lives.
Most importantly his efforts have obviously paid off. Two of his students
are enrolled this fall in college, and accomplishments they never imagined.
I have been most impressed with his passion, dedication, and talent he has
brought to the program. His determination to see projects through, and his
phenomenal communication skills help him help people achieve great things.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance at 1-269-***-****
or by email at *****@*******************.***.

To Whom it may concern,
It is with pleasure that I write this reference letter for Allen Childs. I
have worked with Allen for 5 years in my capacity as a School Psychologist
and his as a Behavior Intervention Consultant in the public school setting.
Working with Allen was a pleasure. I was impressed with his enthusiasm,
communication skills and professional demeanor. We worked together as part
of multidisciplinary teams doing evaluations of children referred to us and
I found Allen to have good consultative skills and a team player mind-set.
I observed him to multitask effectively and be able to handle a high volume
workload. He always gave good suggestions and insights into behavioral
interventions with school age children we were assessing and displayed
extensive knowledge about related community services.
I feel Allen will be an asset to any employer he works for. He has my high
recommendation, and I am happy to furnish more details should you find that
necessary.
Sincerely,
Kelly Mittelmeier,

To Whom It May Concern:
I had the privilege of working with Allen Childs during the 2012-2013
school year at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy. As the Media Specialist at
that school, I was able to act as Allen's mentor as he became familiar with
his new position at Dickinson.
During the time that Allen and I worked together, we spoke often about
various aspects of his job. I was able to proofread the monthly
newsletters that he created for the school, so I witnessed his creativity
and attention to detail. We discussed the students with whom he worked, so
I saw his caring and compassion. We brainstormed ideas for collaboration
with community members and activities for our students' families, so I'm
aware that he is an innovative thinker. Furthermore, we were both part of
the 5th-grade team's Success program, so I was able to see how Allen
interacts with the students in a small group setting.
Because of the skills and competencies that Allen displayed in these and
other aspects of his position, I would highly recommend him for this, or
any, job for which he might apply. He is a self-starter, a team player,
and would be an asset to your company.
If you should have further questions, please feel free to call me at 574-

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Allen Childs. Allen worked as a
Family and Community School Specialist for SBCSC last year. I dealt with
Allen on a weekly basis. He was a hard worker, always professional,
polite, and an outgoing person. We require several documents turned in
every week; Allen had his in on time and checked with me to make sure I
received them and if I needed any additional information, I never needed to
remind him of documents that were required each week. When he had outside
contacts with the community he did not hesitate to share them with the rest
of the FACSS people so they could benefit as well. I would highly
recommend Allen for a job, he would definitely be an asset.
Sincerely,
Rae Schmiedeknecht
