( JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform daily inspection of the airfield's runway, taxiways, and parking
apron
for rubbish and other foreign object damage to aircraft.
* Perform daily inspection of the
aircraft wash/rinse racks.
* Perform daily inspection of the airfield lightning systems.
* Perform daily pre-operation inspection on each of assign ground support
Equipment (GPU, Aircon and Airstart ).
* Operate FOD sweeper in emergencies.
* Maintain and when required, position 25 each emergency self-contained
airfield lightning units
* Install and remove, aircraft chocks, landing gear lock pins, and ground
wires.
* Operate the airfield "Follow Me" vehicle.
* Perform duties as aircraft refuel/de-fuel and aircraft tow team members.
* Conduct marshalling of transient aircraft using standard hand signals.
* Clean aircraft cabins (Exemptions: AMC civilian contract aircraft)
* Assist AMC maintenance technicians with aircraft repairs.
* Assist in servicing transient aircraft with gaseous oxygen/ nitrogen,
compressed air,engine oil,hydraulic fuids and potable water.
* Perform fireguard duties.
* Maintain constant communication with the Control Tower.
* Operate the Latrine Service Truck (LST)
* Assist AMC maintenance for towing services& engine runs.
