USNH, Naples, Italy from March 2003 to April 2005 was assigned the
supervisor
of general laboratory section. While serving as the manager I Was directly
in
charge of 24 personnel's and also managing equipment and Resources worth of
about $750,000 and budget of $450,000 yearly. Assigned the duty of
laboratory safety officer at USNH, Naples, I was responsible for the
laboratory success in their routine inspection making sure Laboratory
personnel successful completed all safety
training and Requirement and also that OSHA regulation and requirement of
the laboratory was achieved and maintained. I was instrumental in the
preparation for the various laboratory inspections such as JCAHO, the
American Association of Blood Bank and Navy Blood Program, CAP, FDA which
resulted in 100% compliance with the standards, providing patients with the
best
services and maintaining good laboratory practices. I validated the
accuracy
of a new automated semen analyzer by correlating the data with the manual
method, which resulted in decreased test time and increased accuracy of the
test. Also rewrote the standard operating procedure and designed a new and
detailed result form to assist the techs in performing the procedure with
ease, expedited the turn around time, and allowed the laboratory to offer
the test more frequently. I was in charge of HIV and infectious disease
control creating program to monitor HIV and infectious disease patients
