Intel manufactures high-speed computer processors and memory storage
integrated circuits. As Manufacturing Coordinator, I was responsible
for supervising a 36-person team and driving factory output in the
planarization process area. Our team consistently set record output
levels. We used SPC (Statistical Process Control) to determine
status of product, and scrap rate vs. production. In addition, my
responsibilities included:
* Implemented an electronics repair shop for component level repairs
of IC boards with an estimated return of $1.7 million for the
first year. This shop went international in the year 2000 with an
estimated savings of over $8 million per year.
* Assisted in the installation and testing of the Site Gas and
Chemical (SiGaC) monitoring system to improve tracking and
disposal of chemical waste, and to maintain constant Hazard
Analysis. Helped to insure ISO 9002 standards were met. This
project will save Intel an estimated $2.1 million per year for
each site implemented.
* Level 3 Robotics technician, maintaining the automation system
used in the planar area.
