Carolina Technical Plastics New Bern, NC 2010 - 2013

Carolina Technical Plastics is a division of Wirthwein GmbH in Creglingin, Germany.

Sales and Project Manager:

From 2010 to 2013 increased sales from 17M to 32M. This was achieved through cultivating new customers

and organic growth with current customers.

Added 5 new customers in the Automotive, Home Appliance, and Railroad industries.

Increased production requirements from 5 days/week to a 24/7 operation.

Purchased 2 additional molding machines.

Provided $500,000 in cost saving projects to customers.

New Standard Corporation Rocky Mount, NC 2009 - 2010

New Standard Corporation is a metal stamping and fabrication company that supplies components to the

automotive, appliance, HVAC, and lawn and garden industries.

Coordinated with corporate headquarters in Munich, Germany to secure over 10 million pounds of

resin annually.

Project Buyer 2000 - 2003

For the BSH expansion into the US Laundry Market, a team of associates from Berlin, Germany and New

Bern, NC were assembled to launch a washer and dryer assembly operation.

Coordinated supplier selections with colleagues in Germany and the US.

Purchase components included Metal, Plastic, Glass, Rubber, and Concrete parts.

Spent 3 months in Berlin Germany for this product launch.

Dishwasher Assembly Shift Supervisor

Myself and 8 associates traveled to Dillingen, Germany where we learned the details of how to assemble

Bosch dishwashers. Upon our return we completed the installation of the assembly line, hired additional

staffing and implemented the assembly process. During my tenure we introduced 60 variant and assembly

rates grew to over 400 units per shift.

Wildwood Lamp Company Rocky Mount, NC 1996

Plant Manager - Wildwood Lamp Company is an importer of fine china and artifacts from all over the world.

Many of these items were converted to high end lamps. I was the Plant Manager for their lamp shade

division. These shades were used for Wildwood lamps and also sold as end products.

1995 – 1996

Wellington Sears Tarboro, NC

Plant Superintendent - We produced mattress ticking and vertical blinds. Four months after being hired, the

owners announced the plant was closing and moving the operations to Mexico. None of the 275 associates

were retained for the move.

1987 – 1995

National Spinning Corporation Washington, NC

National Spinning is a long staple acrylic fiber company that produces yarns for the sweater and men’s

hosiery markets. During my tenure at National Spinning my responsibilities grew from a night shift

supervisor to I.E. to Training/Safety Coordinator and finally a Production Manager responsible for 60

associates, 2 Supervisors, and 1 Process Engineer. During this time we reduced changeover times and

improved our daily production from 7,000lbs to 12,000lbs per day of pre-dyed yarn.
