Senior Team Leader
Lead five assembly areas in the fabrication of electric switch equipment and fuse products. Team member
of several kaizen events throughout the manufacturing facility. Two that I championed yielded the
following results.
The ‘Omnirupter’ switch production area experienced a 31% reduction in floor space, 20%

reduction in labor and a 16 % increase in productivity.
SMU 20 power fuse assembly realized a 34% in line side inventory, non value added work
•
diminished by 40% and a productivity gain of 21%.

Metallurgist (contract position)
Provide leadership, direction and coordination in the design, development, and management of plant and
lab operations for an IEPA permitted tin recovery plant. Taught and initiated lean manufacturing
principles in both the lab and plant.
• Reconfigured an area in the physical plant that reduced tin recovery by 7 hrs., allowing the
operation to add another recovery batch per shift.
• Centralized lab test equipment and added a computerized reporting link which decreased test
results data to the plant by 3 hrs. affording them time to redirect waste streams well in advance of
the next batch.
