Embedded Applications/Digital Electronics, Software Development and Automated Test Systems.
TECHNOLOGIES
Programming: C#, C, & C++, LabWindows/CVI, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, LabView, HPVEE.
Embedded Devices: FPGAs, CPLDs, DSPs and Microcontrollers
Development Environments: Xilinx Foundation & ISE, Modelsim, Code Composer, PADS, DxDesigner,
PSpice.
Productivity: Microsoft Office – VBA for Word, Excel. Visio, Power Point.
WORK EXPERIENCE
North Atlantic Industries Bohemia, NY: Nov. 2012 – May 2014
Senior Test Engineer
• Supported and performed development within the company’s C# based IO Card ATE Test suite.
• Supported and maintained the company’s LabWindows/CVI based Power Supply ATE Test racks.
• Finalized the deployment of the company’s first “Bed-of-Nails” Tester.
• Implemented a web-based automated Data Logger for Power Supply ESS/Burn-in/Vibe.
• Developed DVT Test plans that were converted to DVT and Production Test Procedures.
• Developed multiple GUI’s for automating various manual tasks.
Comtech PST Melville, NY: April 1992 – July 2012
Director of Digital Technologies
• Designed and developed embedded applications for the RF Amplifier product line, using the latest
microcontrollers, FPGAs, CPLDs and other control IC’s. Controllers used were: Microchip, Rabbit 3000 series,
TMS20, 68xx and 8051. Firmware was developed with C and Assembly language in the appropriate Development
Environments. Peripherals used included: ADCs, DACs, Timers, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
• Designed and developed the Hardware and Software for the companies Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
These racks which tested RF products consisted of Test Equipment such as; Signal Generators, Power Meters,
Spectrum Analyzers and the like. The racks contained drawers for interfacing and routing of RF (RF Interface
Units, RFIUs), drawers that controlled and routed Power Supplies for various functions (DC Interface Units,
DCIUs). Each rack was a mix of analog and digital technologies to achieve the desired functionality.
• Designed and developed Circuit Boards in support of both the Amplifier products and ATEs used to test these
products. Used Orcad, Tango, DxDesigner for schematic capture and simulation.
• Developed Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) used to control the products remotely with Ethernet, RS-232/485,
IEEE-488. These GUIs were used both in-house and by our customers. These PC-based GUIs eventually became
embedded Web pages within the products, eliminating the need for a PC.
• As Group lead worked with the Documentation Control and IT Departments in establishing a Software
Development Work-Flow and Configuration Control process.

Cardion Electronics: Feb. 1986 – April 1992
Test Engineer
• Was responsible for the development of Automated Test Fixtures in support of our Radar and Air Traffic Control
Products. These fixtures converted the manual ATPs (Acceptance Test Procedures) into an automated app that
performed the test and produced a completed datasheet with pass/fail results. Software was developed in C.
• When needed, assisted the core Design Engineers with software and firmware development for the actual
product being delivered.
• Designed printed circuit boards in support of Test Fixtures and Automated Test Sets
