Title: Design and Performance Evaluation of Conventional and Composite Leaf Spring.

Software used: SolidWorks 2013.

Role in the Project: Team Leader

Description:

The main objective of the project is to increase efficiency of the engine by decreasing self-weight

of the vehicle. So we have selected leaf spring which is one of the main component that is used in

suspension system. In the project we have selected composite leaf springs instead of steel spring leaf

spring and both the springs were analyzed under similar conditions. The results shows that there is a

material saving of about 59.98% and it is 2.5 times lighter than steel leaf spring without decreasing in

functional characteristics of the spring.

Achievements:

I have selected in the talent test conducted by the “TIME” in 2007.

I am a good athlete. I got many prizes in sports like cricket and long jump.
