ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Receptionist
Pala Mesa Resort, Fallbrook CA August 2013-
Present
At this resort I handle a variety of tasks. Aside from checking patients in and out of their rooms I’m also in charge
of booking rooms. When booking rooms I am in charge of informing, sending out emails, and collecting payments.
When at the front desk I do similar work for guests who walk in without reservations, nonetheless I have collect
signatures and inform them of any specials or events, of course, aside from directing them to certain areas of our
resort. As a receptionist I also have to communicate with other departments such as housekeeping, the restaurant,
the golf shop, and the grounds people. The front desk is not only a greeting and collecting duty, but we also
function as the main headquarters, since guests call us for anything they need, whether it’s to resolve a problem or
assist them with something; and by communicating with the other departments we can easily help and assist.
Receptionist May 2014-August 2014
Pacific Dental Services, Oceanside CA
At this Dental facility I handled not only checking patients in and out, but I also handled insurance paper work.
Having to prepare referrals to get treatment approved and to verify eligibility and coverage was a challenge that I
quickly overcame. Among these duties already mentioned, I was also responsible for answering phone calls,
scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, explaining treatment to patients, and collecting balances.
Multitasking was a very important and essential key to succeeding in this position. I was glad to learn dental
terminology and procedures.
Intern
Univision, San Diego CA January 2014-May
2014
This news channel has opened up their doors to allow me to get hands on training in producing news. That includes
writing the stories, editing videos, and uploading information to different social media outlets. Not only that but I
have also worked the teleprompter and the control room where we control sound and the images that air.
Nonetheless, making phone calls and sending emails to interview people for the news. Lastly, I get in contact with
other Univision stations to have them send in their news material if our anchors find their stories interesting to
cover in our county.
Teller
Wells Fargo, Fallbrook CA January 2013- August 2013
I am experienced with the operation skills, cash handling, and great costumer service. My position there is one
where I stand to be one of two top sellers/ cross-sellers. I have gained what we call a “Gold” position. My
costumer’s service surveys have all come back with perfect scores. Multitasking and teaching other colleagues are
tasks I do on a regular basis as well. I learn pretty quickly, within 2 weeks I learned all the operations of this bank
and had to teach the newer hires. During my time here I came to realize that this is the type of environment I enjoy
being at, this is what I want to do.
Intern
Clear Channel, San Diego CA June 2012-November 2012
This is San Diego’s well known radio stations such as 93.3, 94.1, 95.7, 105.3, 101, and 1360 AM. There I was able
to handle promotions aspects for the stations where we would do full music and game set-ups to give away prizes. I
also helped out at setting up and decorating for events. Including, I made many phone calls to those who called into
the radio stations and win prizes. Nonetheless, I would work office hours help leads in whatever they needed
whether that was organizing papers, cleaning their office, or running errands. It was here where I was able to set
my foot in the door, network, and find my way into the media industry, where I hope to one day be in.
Teller
Bank of America, San Marcos, CA August 2011-April 2012
Here I gained the skills in selling and interacting with costumers. Customer service, alternative ways of banking,
and account information were always at the tip of my hands. Ran all kinds of transactions: deposits, cashing
checks, cashier checks, cash advances. Nonetheless I also have lobbing skills as far as welcoming and helping
customers with question and guiding them to the right person.
