• Developed a PAR level plan for supply inventory
• Increased staff communication by developing a newsletter for the staff
and attending surgery department meetings to share information on
volume and staffing with surgeons
• Maintained staffing slightly under 95% by f lexing according to volume
• Insti tuted AORN Peri-op 101 for new nurses coming into the OR. This
was used in lieu of a nurse educator which was not within the budget
