customers. Bilingual (English, French). Adept with the Microsoft Office
collection (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
Selected Highlights
> Generated a significant contract for Motorola by drastically
knocking down radiated emissions in the XTS5000 high-tier portable.
This design improvement allowed the XTS5000 UHF portable platform to
meet tougher European radiated emissions specifications with margin
to spare.
> Developed system level ideas and concepts using engineering
knowledge and analytical skills to optimize the performance of
Motorola multi-band mobile/portable radios (APX series).
> Senior member of a cross-functional engineering team with hands-on
responsibility for leading Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR),
Critical Design Reviews (CDR) and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews
(MRR) in order to insure the successful development of products in
compliance with either a Specification Control Drawing (SCD) from
the customer, or an internally generated datasheet.
> Published a "Lessons Learned" document in the fourth quarter of 2005
that was essentially a blueprint for Motorola next-generation
portable platform (APX series). This 40-page document received very
positive reviews from Motorola's Upper Management.
> US Patent recipient (patent # 6,400,934 B1).

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
ENGINEERING CONSULTANT Coral Springs, FL
2008 to Present
> Most recent (2012) clients include MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid
Transit Authority)-Senior Project Analyst- and Lindsey Hopkins
Technical Center-Senior Communications Consultant.
> Worked alongside project managers and systems engineers to support the
design, manufacture and testing of clients' products.
> Interfaced with other members of the client's engineering team to
analyze designs and recommend circuit changes geared towards achieving
compliance with advertised specifications.
> Customarily worked with minimal supervision and direction but yet
achieved stellar results.
MOTOROLA,INC. Plantation, FL
Product Staff Engineer 1998 to 2006
> Identified, evaluated and implemented solutions for process/product
development that improved performance, reduced costs, strengthened
yield, and increased capability/production throughput.
> Performed original advanced circuit design and analysis.
> Performed statistical analysis of ATE characterization over process,
voltage, and temperature to insure products are designed for
manufacturability.
> Lead investigator in the establishment of a UHF high-tier radio for
the European market. In the process, designs of experiments were
conducted using MScan to identify potential leakage points. Optimizing
shielding and grounding around the FGU (Frequency Generation Unit) and
PA (Power Amplifier) sections enabled the domestic UHF radio to meet
European radiated specs with margin to spare. A technical report was
issued which documented the EMI fixes and made design recommendations
such that the next generation of portables could readily comply with
European radiated emissions specs.
> Experienced with project planning and execution of customer-specific
requirements.
> Interfaced with component suppliers to evaluate second-source
components and resolve technical issues that may arise in
manufacturing.
> Provided direction to Production Technicians as well as Associate
Engineers while breadboarding, wiring, debugging, and testing was
being performed.
> Well-versed with the following products, material components, and
processes: analog and digital circuitry analysis, microprocessor and
microcontroller systems, transformers, PCB /PWBs and electronics
assemblies, electronic hardware, and other electronics systems and
processes.
> Supported new designs from concept to production hand-off including
component selection, simulation, test, prototype build, Accelerated
Lifetime Testing (ALT) and production integration.
> Member of a panel of SME's (Subject Matter Experts) establishing
guidelines and making design recommendations to minimize radiated
emissions and suppress RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) in the next
generation of portable and mobile radios. As a result of this
collaborative effort, a resolution document was issued which
encompassed all grounding, shielding, by-passing and layout
recommendations for an optimum EMI/EMC performance of the unit under
test. Another key recommendation was that EMI/EMC performance be
investigated with the first prototype and not towards the end of the
design cycle as it was accustomed to.
> Technical leader of a cross-functional team in charge of resolving
component obsolescence issues. The goal was to minimize LTB (Life Time
Buy) inventory impact through re-design options.
> Participated in field tests and other customer visits.
> Utilized computer-aided engineering tools to optimize engineering
circuits in accordance with product specifications. For electrical
circuit analysis, ADS was the simulation tool of choice. Mentor
Graphics supported schematic documentation and circuit layout.
Senior Development Engineer 1988 to 1998
> Award recipient for leading the Development team (8 to 10
engineers/technicians) in charge of Production quality and cycle time.
Numerous milestones were set in terms of quality metrics.
> Evaluated feasibility of manufacturing existing customer products as
well as design enhancements.
> Performed various forms of RF simulation, analysis, and test, as well
as architecture development and refinement, requirements definition
and coordination activities for customer specific RF communication
systems.
> Developed quality specifications for inspection and test limits for
testing manufactured electronic products based on engineering,
customer, and regulatory test standards.
> Supported offshore manufacturing of mobile data boards and ensured
customer delivery commitments were met.
> Drove back-end projects milestones to support on time release to
production schedules, and to provide team leadership for technical
development teams.

components including Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), Intermediate
Frequency (IF) filters, gain blocks and power amplifiers.
> Routinely communicate complex technical details of products with
customers and to overseas engineering staff.
> Interfaced with the 30-Day Warranty Control Team to identify potential
