• To advise & assist the Management in fulfilling its safety obligations & setting out goal for safety on site.
• Hazard identification,safety inspection & suggesting remedial measures etc .
• Developed and implemented Health & Safety Program to prevent and correct unsafe working condition.
• Appropriate training shall be given to ensure that a jobholder is competent to his job safely
• Conduct Periodically inspection of power tools, lifting accessories, Fire devices, scaffolds ladders & maintaining
proper records.
• Conduct fire emergency drills periodically & ensure that all fire watchers are carrying out their duties properly.
• Daily site observation and find out unsafe conditions or unsafe act if any and implement corrective action.
• Discuss with area supervisor/superintendent regarding weekly/daily work plan and identify all hazard with these
tasks.
• To implement health safety & environment standard at site.
• To coordinate and motivate the safety educational and training program among workers.
• Ensure safety of men,materials and equipments to maintain safe working condition at site.
• Cooperate with client consultant & Hse Representatives.
• Participate in several safety meeting held by project management.
• Standard emergency kits and first aid equipment must be provided and available at all times at site.
• Know the potential hazard of your job and take precautions that are required at site.
• Conduct gas test to ensure sufficient oxygen percentage ensure absence of toxic and hazardous gases in confined
spaces prior work start up.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety tool box meeting to remind about safety rules and regulation at job site.
• Inspecting safety device, barricades, warnings boards, caution signs and instructing for them where ever necessary.
• To investigate accidents,incidents,nearmiss,and report to the higher authorities.
• Monitoring the housekeeping of work area and implement the same.
• Ensure and evaluate the proper usage of PPE and other equipment.
• Check and monitor all necessary equipment and material using at site.
• Extracted copies of emergency procedures to be translated into relevant languages and posted around the project,
offices and job site.
• Conduct safety induction and on the job familiarization program for new employees of the sites.
• Do not temper with any fire equipment, be sure to understand emergency procedures and know what to do at site in
case of emergency .
• Render help to injured or sick and provide required medical facility immediately.
• Work site to be maintained in a clean & hygienic condition.
• Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance to the lift plan.
• Monitor critical activities in chemical areas and provide guidance for safe execution of the task.
• Maintain required record keeping system and provide adequate documentation on occupational monitoring
activities.
