Communications & Fund Development Manager Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa
(full-time, 2008 - 2010, left to take maternity leave)
. Converted volunteer enquiries to applications by an increase of 70%
over the previous year through effective information session
presentations;
. Pioneered, designed and administered a survey to evaluate the
effectiveness of the Evening in the Maritimes fundraising event that
elicited informative results;
. Managed marketing, communications and advertising for two annual
dinner events: Evening the Maritimes (800 guests) and Celebration of
People (500 guests);
. Hired and trained the Special Events Coordinator and summer students;
. Recruited and managed more than 100 volunteers;
. Exercised financial oversight through managing fundraising campaigns

Disease (AMMI) Canada Ottawa (full-time contract, 2007)
. Co-led a coalition of 12 national infectious diseases organizations
and industry partners in a 4-month government and media relations
event that rallied 60 Parliamentarians; my efforts were successful in
achieving media coverage from the Globe & Mail, Global TV, CTV, and
CBC Radio Ontario Today.

. Managed all elements of a 400-guest networking and hospitality event
