Role: Member Technical Staff QA
NameServices is a part of ONTAP which grants authorization and authentication services to the
storage device and implements multi-tenancy in the filers and extends storage as a service to the
clients
Worked in NameServices for Ontap, MIG. Tested nameservices functionality of Ontap for
Multitenancy Infrastructure Group.
Worked with various authentication services like NIS, LDAP, files, DNS.
Worked on writing test cases for Functional Chunks of NameServices.
Worked on writing nightly stress scripts and writing scripts for System tests in Perl
Worked on optimization of an already existing test suite. Found out the challenges faced and
implemented a solution which could fix them and enhance the test suite
Worked with other teams to find out how NameServices is used in NFS and CIFS Protocol
Took an additional responsibility for reading and analyzing our internal tools and opensource
tools available for running stress and load and how can they be integrated with our scripts.

Worked on two Products WXTR and TXSeries
- WXTR
WXTR provides a path forward for customers with COBOL business applications on distributed platforms
to e x- tend their applications into a Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) environment and realize the benefits
of a tightly integrated managed environment.
Technologies used: Java, COBOL, PL/I, Python
Worked as Install Developer
Work with install technologies like IA (Install anywhere), ISMP, IBM Install Manager (build on
top of eclipse) and writing installer for WXTR.
Writing fixes and solving APAR’s for WXTR
Writing new Panels for installing product dependencies
Worked on IBM Cloud Hypervisor and wrote python scripts to enable the installation and
download of the product in the cloud environment
Worked with IBM Worklight to integrate WXTR Sample on andrioid for mobile
devices. Completed the Proof Of Concept for WXTR samples running on mobile
devices.
Tested the sample on Android OS.
- TXSeries
IBM TXSeries is architecture of integrated software components that you can use as an OLTP Manager in
distributed system on all the available platforms Linux, UNIX, Solaris, and HP and can work with
mainframes

Was part of System Test Team and FVT team
Did the testing of WebServices for TXSeries and intercommunication between TXSeries and
Mainframe.
Automated test case using SOAP UI Tool. Have experience in working both
with REST and SOAP based webservices
Have worked at the protocol level and did the testing of IPIC protocol ( an enhanced version
of TCP/IP)
Worked with automation of Samples using Selenium Webdriver and did cross browser platform

Developed Junit TestCases and tested the JCA and SCA Adapter .
Worked on writing a customer scenario of Banking Application so that the transactions can be
tested in Distributed environment.
Worked on WebSphere Application Server for load balancing and tested our product with sending
many requests and measuring the response time
Have expertise in automation domain. Wrote an automated framework to automate end to end
configuration and setup and running load in Python named Python Instant Enabler
Worked in Release Related Process. Wrote an automated suite for PNR testing which would check
whether all the files are shipped with correct permissions and the ownerships.
Worked with Rational functional Tester and Performance Testing Tool JMeter .

o Presented a Poster in RTLE in IBM on the topic Criminal Vigilance System o Came Second in

o Published a DCF for Coexistence of TXSeries with WXTR.
o Published a developer works article cross-collaborating with different team on an algorithm
to map deployments on virtual machines

o Worked on PIE (Pythonized Instant test Enabler), was involved in designing and
conceptualizing PIE. Took the ownership of Install Module which installs WXTR Stack and
developed it. PIE saved 50 % of the time in development and test cycle. Presented the PIE in
“Grace Hopper 2011 “.

o PoC (beyond project activity), involved in multiple PoC at ISL, few of them are; o Offline
message support for IBM Lotus Same time messenger using lotus APIS and Java server side
programming
o Explored WAS-ND for WXTR support as a part of progressive testing which helped in
developing the capability in the WXTR.
