. Provide resident care in accordance with organizations rules and

policies, health care regulations, infection control guidelines, and

direction from supervisory staff.

. Check residents' pulse, temperature, and respiration.

. Perform body checks during resident hygiene and report areas or

findings of concern to the Director of Nursing or the supervisor.

. Provide direct range of motion prescribed exercises and provide

direction and assistance in the use of braces or artificial limbs.

. Provide care to hospice residents and provide emotional support for

their families.

. Maintain daily resident hygiene and room care in line with resident

bathing policies and the infection control guidelines.

. Maintain resident records on care, condition, progress, and problems

in order to report and discuss observations with a director of

nursing, supervisor or case manager.

. Massage resident, perform physician prescribed and/or plan of care

treatments (apply preparations such as liniment, alcohol rubs, and/or

heat-lamp stimulation).

. Provide residents with mobility assistance to help them move in and

out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, automobiles, and dressing and

grooming.

. Accompany clients/residents to doctors' offices and other trips

outside the home.

. Provide transportation, assistance, and companionship.

. Provide care to disabled children or children who have sick or

disabled parents.

. Change bed linens, wash and iron residents' laundry, and clean

residents' quarters.

. Provide companionship, entertain, converse, and/or read aloud to

residents assisting in maintaining them mentally alert and emotionally

motivated.

. Perform a variety of resident in-home care duties as requested by

clients, such as maintaining and procuring health care supplies,

household supplies, prescription refills, and transporting resident to

physician appointments or recreational events.

. Meal planner, determine diet specific meals, prepare daily menus,

purchase goods, prepare food, and serve meals to residents and other

family members, according to individual prescribed diets.

. Provide residents and families with emotional support and instruction

in areas such as infant care, preparing healthy meals, independent

living, hospice, and adaptation to disability or illness.
