Recruited to aid SPS transition from a simple job shop to a full service manufacturing leader within the paper, packaging, pul p, and
machine services environments. Along with SPS, responsibilities crossed over to their sister company JSI Inc. Who is focused on the
paper/pulp side of their business and housed within the same facility.
During my time at SPS I developed and managed customers, products, departments, and employees to match their market growth from
a turnover of $1M to $10M per year. Departments created, operated, worked within and supervised during my time include rotary tooling
and services, field service, quality assurance, product assembly, facility safety and material planning/inventory management via Infor
Visual ERP and Kanban setups. Extensive hands on experience in part inspection techniques, mechanical/electrical/pneumatic
assemblies and machinery, technical drawings and material handling.
I personally created all technical manuals, instructional documentation, a corrective action and calibration program. Also 5S material
for departments operated, a quality manual and procedures based on ISO9001 for company products, services, operations and all safety

Madern is the world leader in the manufacture of segmented rotary dies (cutting, creasing and embossin g) for the packaging industry.

customer service and support in coordinating commissioning, servicing and training in the setup, use and handling of rotary t ooling and
die cutter systems. The service area covered and handled ranged from Canada to Central America working within fast-paced
environments. When not working at customer sites, the focus was on leading the in-house die technicians to improve quality, techniques,
tooling development/design and setup new equipment for installation in the f ield. This position required 75% travel.

Tipper Tie is a market leader in producing aluminum clips and application devices for the food and packaging industries. Mai n

Position Held Control Systems Technician
Responsibilities
Take an on-site designed prototype electro/pneumatic control system and build to any and all customer specifications. Working within
a small cell to ISO and British Standards to achieve a full package of design, build, test and CTC/PLC programming to provide a
complete electro/pneumatic solution to any required automated process
Other duties included field service for warranty failures, which requires fault finding and repair. One year of this period was spent in
the final testing / QA department. This position requires a full understanding of electrical and pneumatic circuits, components and
regulations relating to the systems and their sequences.

Responsibilities
Working in high volume rail maintenance depot facilitating repairs to various types of rail carriages. Undertaking scheduled repairs and
inspection to all aspects of a vehicles electrical system. The main bulk of any repairs required to vehicles are the result of detailed visual
and electrical testing. Training of apprentices within this position was paramount to their skill matrix given, at times, the varied faults
that occur .Given this, one apprentice was assigned to me at all times.

Position Held Apprentice Maintenance Electrician
Responsibilities
This three and a half year apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications led to a level three National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
The first ten months of this time was spent in a dedicated training center learnin g basic engineering skills, i.e. fitting, milling, turning,
welding, technical drawing and various electrical techniques. All the remaining time was spent on the job training coupled with colleg e
courses. Due to the vast size of the rail depot, this training encom passed many areas of vehicle, component test and repair. Areas
worked in include electronic clean room, test equipment calibration, crash repair, site maintenance, high voltage test bay (25kv), vehicle
and component overhaul.
