Operation Manager
Oversee several Terminals in the operations of product transfer from truck
to railcar and railcar to truck by means of portable pumping carts. These
carts run off of portable generators and are capable of moving up and down
the railroad tracks. Help with the startup and operation of railcar
cleaning facility in Port Allen. This was accomplished by utilizing high
pressure pump with a Gama Jet attached and set on top of the railcar
opening. The cleaning solution consists of diesel that is stored and
returned to a frat tank, a caustic and water solution that were also
returned to the tanks that they were stored in. This railcar had to be
finished cleaned by pressure washing with personnel making an entry thru
the top man hole. The railcars had to be tested for safe entry by tester
for gas, air and toxic chemicals. Employees were trained on SCBA and
specials suits for entry and a hold watch on top. Railcars were permitted
for entry. A vacuum truck was hooked up on the bottom valve to suck out all
material that was cleaned and washed.
