. Kerala State Electricity Board: Contracted Sub Engineer: Sept 2010 to
Dec 2010:
I was responsible for the maintenance of the 110KV substation. This
included the maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers and control
system panels.
Projects Undertaken and completed:
. Photovoltaic solar energy system: The project involved implementing a
Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) for the solar panel. This system
had a DC to DC converter which helped extract maximum power from the
panel with the help of a microcontroller PIC16F877A, in which an
algorithm called P&O was implemented. The system worked well on a
12volt panel.
. Design and Simulation of a DC micro grid System to improve solar Panel
Efficiency: The project work deals with a small DC micro grid with
Solar PV as the source. It operates in two modes; an MPPT mode for
battery charging and PID controller mode for supplying constant DC
voltage to a variable DC load which acts as the DC grid.
