While Management involves day to day work and problem solving, it is not just the rational (Task and Processes), it is the

relational leadership side that can pay big dividends. A technical focus and the action nature of management tasks often

make seemingly urgent, but actually unimportant, details our priority in the workplace instead of collaborative

engagement. ‘Best practices’ leadership models stress the need to engage teams in many ways.

Leadership today demands the ability to create alignment, motivation, and co created solutions. Getting the job done

requires respect based competencies and an ‘ask more, tell less’ shift in working with others. Using human needs

psychology as a tool to assure high quality performance and business outcomes pays out in long term sustainable success

and profit. These are the guidelines for my consulting work, which is research backed (primarily Harvard, MIT, Gallup,

and psychological studies).

TALENT AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

As a sole proprietor, hired to create Business Results globally through development of leadership best practices and

behavioral change across a wide variety of Fortune 500 and international corporations and divergent industries, including

Aerospace, Banking, Foods, Healthcare, Oil, Natural Gas & Pipelines, Power, Transport, and Telecommunications.

Successfully customize and deliver improved performance through tailored behavioral skill development.

Mediate department disputes, issues development, conflict resolution, and interest based problem solving.

Design interventions, customized learning and programs to coaching groups ranging from CEOs/Department

heads bringing in over 100 million per year to individual engineers and team members.

Executive Director – Social Service Non Profits

Truckee Group, Individual & Family Counseling Center, Truckee, California.

Tahoe Women’s Services, Kings Beach [Lake Tahoe], California.

Brought in to save failing non profit social service agencies; successfully led them through operational

restructuring to financial viability within the first two years. Rebuilt the entire core operations, with complete

financial overhauls to comply with federal performance measures and audit requirements. Introduced new and

innovative service delivery, spearheaded new funding solutions and partnerships, and launched assertive crisis

prevention programs in both the agencies outreach and in collaboration with the local hospital district, and the

local school district.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP AND OPERATIONS

• Led program development, grant management, and overall administration for organizations providing crisis

services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, suicide intervention and prevention and related issues

such as homelessness & poverty. Crisis call and suicide prevention trainer.

Efficient and effective use of skills & resources to empower victims to see possibilities and gain clarity on how

to break from a victim cycle with a shift in both mindset and unproductive behaviors. Successfully and quickly

grew funding from deficit positions to well funded budgets (up roughly $200K to $400K) by improving non

profit revenue streams including grants, facility donations, fundraising, and service fees to drive annual revenue

up dramatically. Created marketing, advertising, and promotional materials for community fundraising.

Oversight of small teams of staff coordinators in nonprofit agencies in accounting, volunteer coordination,

outreach, fundraising, therapists & crisis management, each backed by large groups of volunteers.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

• Developed outpatient drug & alcohol program in conjunction with local hospital district and initiated mental

health resiliency programs within local school district of 5,000 students.

Created unique paid therapist internship programs to allow experience for up to 10 graduate therapist interns

annually while providing up to approximately 140 hours of weekly therapy at affordable discounted rates to low

income – high risk clients.

PUBLIC RELATIONS, OUTREACH, and DELIVERY

Delivered presentations and speeches at service organizations to educate and request funding, appeared in front

of county and state boards and participated in televised school board meetings.

Trained volunteer crisis counselors quarterly; crisis counselor and California Office of Criminal Justice Planning
