Projects:
RBCT runs a continuous "on site" refurbishment and new installation project program. This is over and above
normal maintenance and is based on an annual renewable five year plan and done by a dedicated project
team. The Supply Chain Management department is actively involved in these projects both from procurement
but also for a materials handling and general logistics point of view. Dedicated materials management support
is centralized and very effective and involved with project activities. This service includes effective contracts
negotiations with on-site contractors but also that handling and storage of goods and materials, sometimes
high volume or of a bulky nature. Active participation in terms of site visits, tender clarification meetings,
vendor performance meetings, material handling and storage requirements, etcetera is common practice.
These projects are substantial both from a value and support point of view.
