Responsible for the development and deployment of one of 11 medical research networks allowing for

access to de-identified electronic medical records from some of the largest medical institutions in the

state of Pennsylvania and Maryland. The purpose of this project is to give medical researchers a tool to

analyze millions of medical records for research purposes.

Responsible for the overall execution of the project with focus on coordination and collaboration between

clinical and technical staff from those institutions.

Sr. Project Manager 2008-2012

Tasked with the management of two failing complex multi-million dollar projects for a mid-West transit

authority. The scope of the projects was to deliver wayside technical solutions for some of the most

complicated and technically challenging railroad interlockings in the world. Accomplishments included:

• Successful re-establishment of customer confidence in Ansaldo’s ability to deliver the two projects;

• Oversaw one of the most successful installations and commissioning the customer experienced in

years;

• Provided significant contributions to the improvement of the financial performance of the projects

Asked to manage two additional failing software development projects to provide new equipment software

interface into the existing mainframe computer for an international customer. Achievements included:

• Improved project delivery dates;

• Increased profit margin on both projects;

• Regained customer confidence and improved the Ansaldo-customer relationship

ALCATEL-LUCENT / THALES RAIL SIGNALLING SOLUTIONS (US) INC., Pittsburgh, PA

Managed a number of domestic and international software development projects to provide computer-

based automatic train control solutions. The projects were very complex and challenging due to worldwide

location of project teams, vendors, customers, and installation sites. The projects required extensive

communication and coordination between various project stakeholders.

Successfully managed an interoperability project focused on demonstrating full operational interoperability

between Thales’ and competitor’s line of products. The success of that project secured Thales’ position on

a short bid list and ultimately allowed the company to win a new multi-million dollar project in the NYC area.

Transferred to Alcatel-Lucent, sister company, with responsibility for management of telecommunication

projects for a local medical services provider. Some of the managed projects included:

• Design, installation, and commissioning of two redundant network data centers;

• Design, installation, and commissioning of voice and data networks for a new Children’s Hospital;

• Update of voice and data networks for various local hospitals and doctors’ offices

Staff management responsibilities included up to 30 associates consisting of hardware engineers,

programmer analysts, systems consultants, field engineers, business analysts, buyers, and schedulers.

Program Manager 2003-2004

Responsible for project management activities in a product manufacturing environment that included

preparation of estimates, quotations and proposals; tracking: man-hours, budgets, and progress. Actively

involved in day-to-day project activities, development of new products and product enhancements. Acted

as a liaison between ASIRobicon and customers. Managed and coordinated multiple domestic and

international projects for the power (including nuclear), waste treatment, and food industries as well as

the U.S. Navy. Assumed project management responsibility over a number of failing projects for a

customer in the nuclear industry. Converted those projects into success stories and helped ASI Robicon
