Job Description:

* To follow Action plan prepared for improving Boiler Efficiency, Aux.

Consumption and ensuring their maximum availability at minimum cost

through proper planning, optimum utilization of the resources,

material management and continuous improvements.

TECHNICAL ACQUIRIES

Good knowledge about:

* Basic Operation of Boiler through DCS

* Basic Operation of Auxiliary equipments through DCS / PLC

* Field instruments such as control valves, flow meters, Pressure,

Level, Temperature, conductivity, consistency, Bentley Nevada

vibration monitoring, Oxygen analyzer, CO analyzer.

* Basic Knowledge of ISO 9001 - 2000 quality systems and OHSAS 18001.

* Working Knowledge of Computers :

a) MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point etc)

b) Email

c) In house function modules

* Knowledge about Emergency Preparedness and Response to Emergencies

ROUTINE JOB

* Continuous monitoring of parameters in DCS and taking immediate

corrective actions in case of any deviation observed.

* To do regular walk-by inspections and log Shift / Daily / weekly

Operation Parameters.

* Ensure implementation of safe operating practices of various

equipments of boiler, Ash Handling, coal handling plant, feed water

pumps, etc.

* To analyse all operation data with respective standards and log all

deviations and report to Shift Incharge.

* Follow instructions of Chief Chemist.

* Following instructions from Shift Incharge.

* To follow SOPs for all equipment / process operations.

* To follow up with Maintenance department on status of PM / RM

completion.

* To understand and able to perform all emergency operations.

* Implementation of prudent safe practices while issuing permits.

* Compliance of OHSAS 18001

* Use of all required PPEs while carrying out the job.

* Identification of Critical activities

* Implementation of Good house keeping practices and ensure that all

operating floors are maintained neat and clear.
