CAN based accident avoidance system.

ABSTRACT-

The number of accidents that are occurring in the world is increasing every

year. Nearly 6,00,000 people are killed in road accidents and more than 15

million are injured every year through out the world. Failure to keep the

correct distance between vehicles is one of the reasons leading to road

accidents. In order to maintain correct distance between vehicles and

prevent accidents the use of our project, vehicle anti-collision system

using ultrasonic range meter is proposed. The vehicle anti-collision is an

active device that warns the driver when he is approaching too close to an

obstacle by the use of an ultrasonic range meter and stops the vehicle

automatically, thus eliminating the changes of a collision.
