< Managed and coordinated sales, customer service, pricing /
estimating, purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing,
shipping / receiving and HR functions for City of Industry,
CA, Chino, CA, Kent, WA and Aurora, CO facilities; given
additional responsibilities for overseeing Ennis, TX, Lenexa,
KS / Elk Grove Village, IL and Nashville, TN facilities in
February, 2010.
Accomplishments
< Within first year at Chino, CA facility, reduced losses by
$1,051,000 through labor savings, improved productivity
(units/hour), stricter pricing/estimating guidelines, and
reduced waste.
< Led company union negotiations in Chino, CA plant resulting in
three-year wage freeze and securing employee contribution for
health care costs, moving from -0-% to 20% over two years.
Facility had consistently lost money for multiple years;
decision was finally made to absorb 160,000 square foot
facility into City of Industry, CA plant. Oversaw entire
consolidation / move and required upgrades to City of Industry
plant.

< After gaining responsibility for Ennis, TX plant in February
2010, quickly reduced freight costs by 22%, generating
$343,000 savings over five-month period. Delivered 33%
increase in YOY variable margin percentage of gross sales
(15.7% vs. 11.8%) through reduced manufacturing costs, tighter
pricing controls, revised estimating guidelines and superior
product mix.

< General Managers from Kent, WA, Aurora, CO, and Appleton, WI
were direct reports; accountable for sales, customer service,
pricing / estimating, manufacturing operations, purchasing,

< Consistently led corporation in operating income and margin
percentages.
< Initiated regional price increase on window envelopes
unrelated to raw material cost increase; targeted 8.5% price
increase delivered $165,000 in additional annual profits /

business, re-quoted or eliminated; within time, attained
profitable new business contracts. Cost-saving initiatives and
margin enhancements contributed to dramatic turnaround of
facility, and monthly profits were achieved within nine
months. After 12 months, projected annual operating income was
