Recruited as Director of MEIE and promoted to Director of Re-Manufacturing after two years. Initial focus was
to execute a new product launch strategy across all five plants. As Director of Re Manufacturing developed
operational plan for creating a new business segment.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Modified two production lines to accommodate four models down one line (4 on 1 strategy) increasing the
production rate 90% per shift and freed up additional capacity on remaining line.
Created roadmaps using lean six sigma tools that streamlined new product launches, tool design, material
& operating costs, resulting in a standardized work environment at all five plants.
Contributed to the implementation of a new Sales, Inventory, Operations and Procurement (SIOPP) process
by providing the organization with accurate and up-to-date production launch metrics to base decisions on.
Developed P & L strategy and manufacturing program for new market segment - Refuse Truck Re-
manufacturing, for one of our leading customers.
Launched two new models using a re-designed assembly line and restructured fixture build plan. Reduced
labor cost by 12% and improved on time delivery from 20% to a sustained 90%.
Created a culture that accepted a Lean business operating system that is built on customer first strategies.
Reduced Time to Market by 48% across all five plants.

Exopack Food & Specialty Packaging - Tulsa, OK - May 2009 to August 2011
Hired to maintain all Quality Control, Safety and Environmental issues for the site. Main focus was rolling out
and training new Corporate Continuous Improvement Program and developing new Warranty Database.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Completed roll out of Continuous Improvement Plant Assessment Program achieving highest plant score
in the corporation. (436 out of 500 metrics completed).
Developed and rolled out a Project Selection Workshop used to determine the capital investments with the
greatest payback to the business.
Completed two black Belt Projects saving company $1.5 M dollars annually.
Designed and built the Quality & Testing lab to accommodate four high speed Mara-Flex Plastic extruder
lines relocated from Des Moines, IA after buyout of Alcan Packaging.
Completed AIB International Food Safety Audit resulting in updates to processes and procedures in
Operational Methods, Personnel Practices, Maintenance for Food Safety, Cleaning Procedures, Integrated
Pest Management and Leadership Supporting Factors.
Designed a new warranty database to reduce customer complaint rate and first response lead time for
production of 78 Million Pieces. Reduced complaint rate from 6% to 1.7% and cost of quality by $1.5 M dollars.

Industrial Engineering Manager
Eclipse Aviation - Albuquerque, NM - May 2008 to February 2009
Reported to the VP of Operations, main objective was to introduce, for the first time, the Toyota Production
System into an aerospace manufacturing environment. This introduction included worker based manufacturing
improvements, documenting the Value Stream and training over 400 workers on basic lean six sigma concepts.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Standardized work and operator efficiency to 85% across the entire Value Stream.
Revamped the production line to accommodate two aircraft per day production rate; however, this option
was never utilized.
Started work group based manufacturing improvements under the Customer First Strategy involving the
internal customer's feedback and ingenuity to increase process throughputs.
Developed a daily report to assist senior leadership in daily decisions concerning Safety, Quality,
Productivity, Cost, and Morale. Trained 400 workers in 5 WHY, 5S, Waste Reduction and Problem Solving.
Doubled the capacity of the friction stir weld process by reconfiguring individual part builds into nested kit
builds. This increased part availability by 150% per day.
Maintained the Manpower Roll Analysis based on build schedules and material availability. This was used
daily for hiring and logistics decisions.
Mapped out Value Stream resulting in eliminating 35% of Non-Value Added Time.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Tulsa Winch Group (TWG) - A Dover Company - Tulsa, OK - May 2007 to February 2008
Responsible for all maintenance, facilities, safety, security and manufacturing of Tulsa Winch and Greer
Company sites. Both sites combined are 400K sq. ft. with 28 CNC machines, 20 general purpose machines,
12 assembly lines, two wash lines and a manual paint booth.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Relocated the 100K sq. ft. Greer Co. facility from Santa Ana, CA to Tulsa, OK introducing Pull System
manufacturing flow and layout, reducing footprint by 20%.
Set up quick change die process on two CNC machines reducing set-up time by 13%.
Contained and resolved OSHA Violation for contaminated storm water run-off flowing into drinking water
supply in two weeks by properly controlling evacuation routes and flow rates.
Mapped the manufacturing set-up of nine CNC machines and six general purpose machines for easier flow
through plant and reduction of inventory by 12%.
Negotiated the contracts for janitorial service, forklift maintenance, electrical contractors, HVAC, snow
removal, landscaping and lawn care. Lowered these overhead costs by $200K dollars.
Designed process flow layout for relocating equipment in new 168K sq. ft. expansion of headquarters.

Whirlpool Corporation - Tulsa, OK - October 2001 to April 2007
Responsible for plant wide work methods and process improvements covering stamping, paint & porcelain
enamel, manufacturing, parts warehouse and finished goods warehouse. Assigned as Special Project Lead
after determining line production could be increased without adding manpower. Received Black Belt Training
and obtained MBA.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Converted Freestanding Coil Top Range Line from Index & Dwell to Continuous Flow and increased daily
production by 40% without adding manpower. IRR = 156%, payback = 1.6 years.
Hosted and led International Team Kaizen event for 13 IE managers from outside the US to demonstrate how
the 40% increase in output was achieved. Team worked over a nine week period on sub assembly increasing
throughput by 13%.
Started Customer First Strategy and teaching of DFM by involving internal customers as members of the
Product Launch Team resulting in a four week reduction to the new product introduction schedule.
Relocated the central packaging line to the end of each production line making room for our future High End
Complex Production Line. Converted High End Glass Top Range Line from Index & Dwell to Continuous Flow
and increased daily production by 50% without adding manpower. IRR = 65%, payback = 1.87 years
Led effort around the relocation and closure of our Canadian manufacturing site. Moved Dual Fuel, Roper/
Inglis and Kitchen Aid Brands adding production of 11K, 35K and 47K ranges respectfully to the Tulsa plant
footprint.
Developed Functional Test training program that directly fed the SIR Field service database allowing
corrective action closure rate to increase from 83% to 98%.
Redesigned the central warehouse pick/place process doubling their capacity to load & receive trailers as
part of my MBA curriculum.

Responsible for ten Production and three Sub Assembly lines over two shifts. Major contributor introducing
Design for Manufacture (DFM) as the liaison between the production floor and design engineering.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Increased productivity of two Sub Assembly lines by 7% for annual savings of $83k in seven months.
Designed and Installed an International Packaging Line to accommodate 100k slot machines a year. New
design met all international recycling and shipping requirements. Saved company over $53K a month in
packaging penalties from oversea customers. Redesigned Slot Machine Conversion Kit reducing damage by
16% in the first 17 months and saving the company over $63k in damage claims.
