Health and Safety
Training - Conduct training for asbestos, lead, and basic safety
classes. Classes include EPA and OSHA approved courses. Trained
various levels of staff from laborers to senior
personnel/executives. Used personal experience as part of
training to illustrate relevant points. Training included
worker, competent person, inspector, and project designer level
courses.
Review OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory standards to evaluate
changes that may affect training requirements. Assist in the
development of new and up-date existing training programs. Focus
on behavior based training, including proper use of PPE
Health and Safety Work - Responsible for implementing health and
safety programs for district office. Conducted audits,
maintained OSHA documentation of incidents, provided training
(OSHA 10-hour construction), developed site specific HASP for
individual projects, including construction and environmental
activities. HASP development included review of client
requirements and verifying company policies complied with clients
expectations and developed plans to ensure on-site activities
complied with any additional requirements. Served on corporate
health and safety committee to evaluate potential and on-going
issues on both specific projects and over-all safety.
Competent person for on-site environmental and construction
related activities. Real time monitoring for airborne hazards
including lead, VOCs, LEL, chrome VI, and other vapors and
particles. Conducted multi-chemical analysis to determine
exposure limits for exposure during environmental activities.
Maintained documentation of on-site activities, both daily and
for closeout.
