Absence Web Program
Designed and developed front and back end web application for maintaining
data related to employee time off. This application was written using C#,
ASP.NET 3.5 for the front end web application and SQL Server 2005 was used
for the database. Visual Studio 2008 and C#, MVC were used for
development. Reporting Services was used for creating eight custom reports
for the Human Resources department to track time off. This application was
a VB6 conversion to C# web application.
Parts Pricing Web Program
Designed and developed web application to upload new pricing for parts
into the data warehouses. Prices get uploaded for each of the five plants
at the beginning of each year. Converts a manual process into C# web
application that creates an excel object and copy the data from the
spreadsheet into each of the databases.
Conversion of application and reports
First year was spent converting legacy VB6 applications into C# web
applications; converting Crystal reports into report services reports;
writing sequel commands for movement of data from one database to another
or moving data from one table into another table upon request.

Movie Pass Application/Web Service
Designed and developed a back end web application for maintaining data
related to movie pass cards. This application uses Active Directory and a
custom .NET 2.0 membership provider for authentication, and uses the .NET
2.0 role provider for authorization to different functional areas within
the application. SQL Server 2000 was used for the database. Visual Studio
2005 and C# were used for development. Designed and developed a Web Service
for processing requests from hundreds of theatres located throughout the
United States using C# and .Net 2.0.

Developer - Developed RockTenn, Dimension, Cigna, UHC, and Amvescap
outbound feeds. Developed Batch Termination program and have overseen
development of many other daily processes. All programs developed utilized
Visual Basic 6.0, Sequel Server 7.0, Sequel Server 2000 and Crystal
Reports 8.* version. The programs used temporary stored procedure in the
Visual Basic Code. Also, permanent stored procedure located on the Sequel
Server machines. These programs were the weekly feeds for third party
clients. Batch Termination Program is a menu program that drives eight
different programs (exe) for terminations of benefits. Each of the eight
programs uses a single thread to run each program. All Sequel commands
written into stored procedure and located on the Sequel Server.
10/2000 - 10/2001
TEKsystems Ruby Tuesday, Knoxville, TN
DBA/Developer - Evaluated WOW reporting database and OPS_DB (operational
database) architecture and data warehouse design. The design was previously
developed by a Lotus Development Team engaged to change the daily, weekly,
and monthly aggregation and reporting process. The hierarchy management
structure was identified as one of the problem areas of the design. Another
problem area was the report engine developed by the Lotus Development Team.
Suggestions were made to scrap the report engine and redesign the
architecture to better fit the needs of the customer. The following
suggestions included upgrading to Microsoft Sequel Server 7 or Microsoft
Sequel Server 2000, Microsoft OLAP, and DTS for the data pump or Hyperion
Essbase OLAP database. These choices were suggested to calculate the daily,
weekly, and monthly aggregation within a relatively minimal time frame. The
second suggestion was to evaluate Crystal Reports as a possible candidate
for a replacement of the Report Engine. Assigned second project to design
and develop the Labor Norm Project, which consisted of parsing multiple
flat files, sent from each store daily. After the files were parsed they
were merged into five separate flat files. These files were uploaded
through a DTS (Data Transformation package) to Sequel Server tables. The
tables had stored procedures wrapped up in DTS Sub packages to calculate
each employee's hourly labor dollars per hour for each store and hourly
sales for each store.
Additional sub packages consisted of stored procedures to calculate the
totals and averages for each employee job code number. Once calculations
were completed, the data could be compared to a static norm table.

Eastman Chemical Co., E & C Division
Developed, initialized and completed Process Safety Information database at
Eastman Chemical Company, Plant Engineering, Kingsport, Tennessee,
programmed in Visual Basic 5.0, for the front-end attachment to Access '97
database. Developed reports for this program in Crystal Reports 5.0. In
addition, created an OLE (object, linking & embedding) attachment to Excel
'97 as an additional export. This is a tracking and reporting program
utilized to maintain safety information required by OSHA. This program
utilizes multi-user interface for the purpose of querying information at
the user's request. Also developed multiple security levels for the users
of this program at log-on.
Development and modifications of relief device calculation program for use
by chemical engineers developed in Visual Basic 5.0 and Excel '97. This
front-end imports and exports from Word documents through OLE to load
Access '97 database. The Access '97 database consists of multiple tables
for the user to run queries to perform calculations on relief devices.
These relief devices consist of linear regressions to calculate the relief
of a device. Maintained and upgraded this system and converted database
from Access '97 to SQL Server 6.5 and further to Oracle 7.3.
Developed, initialized and completed Archived Aperture Card Index System at
