PART II. TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Corporación Universitaria Santa Apolonia: Between February 2008 and June 2013, I taught them

a wide scope of disciplines in General Management, Principles of Management, Management

applied to service organizations on traditional undergraduate students.

The evaluations from the students have been quite high: in the last semesters most of the

evaluations ranged between 4 and 4.95 (out of a maximum of 5).

Traditional education. I promote intensive active learning in my classes, intensive use of online

tools, consulting with real companies in a health environment.

Academic processes. I price of leading groups in which I belonged, as a student of MBA.

Instructed them all to the proper development of the academic program.

Interdisciplinary research and education. I have done research on models approach to dental

consultations; this is a way to achieve customer loyalty. As a student of MBA, I coordinate

research group Fair Trade, an alternative to sustainable development in Latin America, which

meant that I was speaker in IV International Conference UNAD Florida.

I have worked in several positions at health management services in public and private

corporations, actually I’m General Management, but I’d worked in Marketing, Operations,

Administration and Project Management.

1993-1994. Hospital Vista Hermosa. Compulsory social service for Dentist. Administrative and

clinics work in a public sector health.

1995 -2001. Hospital del Sur. General Dentist, Dentist coordinator in projects of dental health.

Responsible for submit tenders for purchase of materials, inventory, human resources and

continue education.

2002 – Actually. Orthoxdent Clínicas odontológicas. Planning and implementation of a company

of provision of health services in the private sector, with 8 employees that currently markets its

services in novel ways using the tools that provide the information technologies, such as social

networks and internet cafe. Current revenues of approximately USD 200,000.

Business Consulting / Project management: Participated in some projects, as consultant, such

Santa Apolonia Clinic and Family Health Group.
