PROJECT: Selection and Weight Optimization of Materials for Parabolic

trough Solar Collector.

> The purpose of our project is weight optimization of parabolic trough

solar collector by selecting different materials based on their

mechanical properties.

> Modeling and FEA analysis is carried out for safety check

> Result: composite materials are the best among the selected materials

because they have very high strength, stiffness and low density hence

the weight optimization is done.
