CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS

Production Process Design and Implementation: Developed and implemented

redesign of production systems/process, eliminating operational

deficiencies in the design of industry benchmarked equipment, resulting

in production performance increases from an average of 82% to 96% in the

production process. Implemented process control quality improvements

resulting in an increase from 88% first pass yield to over 96%. Managed

over $28 million in capital projects completing the projects on time and

within budget. Increased equipment reliability from 86% to 100% during 6

months by implementation of newer state of the art components within the

production process. Implemented an Engineering project and design

management system resulting in improved project control and design of

material handling systems that were implemented corporate wide for

GrafTech International.

Manufacturing Production Increase: Selected by management to lead

technical efforts for plant switch from residential glass production to

industrial glass production: Managed materials and supplier conversions

from residential to commercial products, assessed and rebuilt equipment,

buildings, plumbing, piping, etc.; refocused plant personnel; re-

programmed computerized systems and increased manufacturing production

throughput by 100% over a 6 month period for AGC Flat Glass North

America.

CMMS, Maintenance, Operational System Implementation: Restructured entire

CMMS, maintenance, and operational system for a division of Wyndham

Worldwide, a $3B corporation. Instituted a unified predictive /

preventative maintenance utilizing WiFi, computer systems, and new

processes for material suppliers, to record, analyze, and "pre-empt"

failures in mechanical components and security systems. New system

adopted worldwide.

Terrorist Mitigation (for Nuclear Fuel): Took ownership of critical NRC-

mandated nuclear fuel physical security systems upgrade for Nuclear Fuel

Services, Inc., to reduce threat from terrorism. Defined solution,

created detailed plans involving X-ray equipment, physical barriers,

warehouses, shielding, computer systems and other specialized

materials/equipment. At the time, this category of equipment / materials

was being diverted to Persian Gulf - creating 3 year lead time.

Identified alternative equipment/suppliers/materials and delivered

project in 18 months.

Production Process Re-Design; "First of its Kind": Overcame enormous

environmental hazard pertaining to fiberglass production that had eluded

solutions for 40 years: UK mandated recycling was going to halt

production in UK. Developed solution; redesigned equipment, piping,

plumbing, and buildings and recycled waste. Process implemented in UK,

Holland, North & South Carolina. New process was patented leading to new

product offering.

Safety Programs: Developed/implemented employee driven, behavior based,

and accident prevention process. Reduced OSHA recordable injuries 40%,

restricted duties activities 50%, and worker's compensation costs 30%;

processes received highest ratings from Duke Power, Progress Industries,

USAF, and others.
