Project • 2014-Present
Selected as the Project Field Engineer and Contract Administrator for the Wetlands Enhancement
Project at the Port Everglades. A $15M project which consists of the demolitions, excavations, and
plantings for the development of wetlands. This project is the precursor for the main project which is
the expansion of the turning notch at Port Everglades. This project also includes roadway, drainage,
marina renovation construction and construction materials solid waste removal component.
Key Roles:
• Provide construction administration and support services consisting of shop drawing and
monthly pay requisition reviews and approvals, including change order evaluation.
• Conduct periodic field observations and site/progress inspection and creation of daily written
field reports.
• Coordination with client and contractor preconstruction and progress meetings as necessary for
project progress, field issues resolution and milestone completions.
• Review and asses project-related claims analysis and support, preparation of record drawings
evaluation and approval of project submittals and RFI’s.
• Conduct final verification for acceptance and certification of the site work as may be required
for closeout of the regulatory permits.

Operations Roadway Superintendent ~I-595 Corridor Roadway Improvement Projects • 2012-
2014
Appointed as a Roadway Operations Superintendent for Segments A & B for the I-595 Corridor
Improvement projects. A $1.23B project to improve, upgrade capacity and operations of the I-595
corridor by providing three additional at-grade lanes in the median of the corridor. Responsible for
field oversight and performance of roadway construction operations performed by Prince
Construction and its subcontractors. All major construction underway without interrupting live traffic
on the I-595 highway. Works include:
• Grading for roadway construction, including oversight of paving subcontractor operations,
drainage installation, barrier wall construction, highway signage(drill shaft), coordination of
construction of new connecting retaining walls (MSE Walls) to new and existing bridges
along the segments, lighting and ITS electrical installation for future tolls and highway
express lanes construction systems.
• Responsible for the successful completion of major Traffic Switch-Overs along segments A &
B, in relation to scheduled milestones and applying quality control specifications and overall
safety standards. Major tracking and coordination of all concrete placement throughout both
segments, including major MOT affecting live traffic day/night.
• Daily reporting responsibilities of all operations in the segments and notification of any major
work violations or nonconformance work performed by contractor. The lead voice to office
management of field operations in relation to work progress and performance. Project is on
pace to be completed 4 months ahead of schedule.

Roadwork Field Engineer II ~ Port of Miami Tunnel Project • 2010-2012
Assigned as the lead field engineer for all new and temporary road construction at the Port of Miami
Tunnel Project, a $1B project designed to ease traffic congestion in downtown Miami. Supported
Roadwork superintendent and foreman in all field operations, including and not limited to, layout and
survey of future roads, material take-off and ordering, completion of all final inspections on all roads
for asphalt placement, curb and gutters, sidewalks, barrier walls and guardrail installation.
Scheduled and supervised three major subcontracts. Created all formal reports related to the
roadwork’s (RFI’s, Change Orders, Backcharges, Deviation Reports, Method
Statements/Workplans, Inspections and Test Reports. Took notes and raised flags for any potential
delays in the creation of new roads, in relation to existing utilities, rain delays and field conditions.
Key Contributions:
• Successfully executed 3 major subcontracts: $10M Asphalt placement work with General
Asphalt, $500K Curb & Gutter/sidewalk/Barrier wall with Barreiro Concrete, and $250K
Guardrail system installation with Southeast Underground at Watson and Dodge Island.
• Leaded and assisted superintendent in successful Major Switch Over of traffic to the new
Macarthur Causeway Eastbound on Watson Island. Was responsible for the details of Tie-in
work to bridge and existing highway and management of subcontract work performed. No
delays or city penalties were incurred in the operation. Major Switch over placed project 2
weeks ahead of schedule.
• Successful completion of the following Switch Over of traffic and New Construction of roads on
Watson and Dodge Island: Parrot Jungle Trail (Frontage Road), Mac Arthur Causeway

Job Engineer ~ Smuggler’s Gulch Border Fence Project • 2007-2009
Served as primary job engineer on the Smuggler’s Gulch Border Fence Project (USACE Project), a
$60M project to build San Diego border fence infrastructure. Maintained P3 project schedule and
the monthly progress schedule update for the client. Conducted daily project update briefings with
15-20 craftsmen; made daily walk-through inspections and took notes on materials needed,
potential delay issues, and operations progress. Supervised subcontractors and placed orders with
materials vendors. Trained junior engineers on multiple operations and functions under personal
domain.
Key Contributions:
• Commandeered the successful completion of major subcontracts: a $3.5M mass excavation
project with Pinnick Inc., a $750K ditch project with Southwest V-Ditch, and a $100K irrigation
system project with Green Horizons.
• Orchestrated the MSE Wall Operation at Goat Canyon, a $1.3M operations; supervised a 12-
man crew in placing 14,500 square feet of panels and 10K cubic yards of material, created
work plans, ensured quality and safety, and installed catch basins.
• Saved $250K in the placement of the drainage ditch by redesigning the original plans.
• Drove efforts to successfully complete all operations and subcontract work without any safety or

• Awarded full oversight of 3 subcontractor contracts: $1.2M landscaping & irrigation project,
$300K fencing & guardrail project, and $80K painting project.
• Elected by upper management to partner with Project Engineer to close out project; conducted
final walk-through, completed punch list, and resolved all outstanding field issues.
• Oversaw successful implementation of final change order in the last month of production, the
creation of a by-pass for the refurbishment of a major water tank in the facility.
