DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Nursing Aide

1. Taking and recording of vital signs.

4. Transporting patients by wheel chair or stretcher from ER to the Ward.

1. Responsible for cleanliness of the unit and items during the shift.

2. Maintain enough supplies of cotton balls, cotton applicators, gauze four by

four, top dressing and other surgical dressing.

3. Clean and pack instruments and sets return by units and offices.

4. Check and receive all packs send down by operating room delivery room and

other wards for sterilization.

5. Operates autoclave and unlock all sterilized goods for proper disposal.

6. Outdate and re-sterilized supplies and packs.

7. Make accurate charge on items issued to patients on nursing units and forward

to billing section.

8. Checking of equipment not fu nctioning or any instrument broken and report

to the supervisor for proper repair.

9. Coordinate with supervisor for special assignment.

10. Cooperate with other central supply room staff for better co employee

relationship.
