OBJECTIVE

To begin a career in the machining industry, where I can be proud of what I can contribute and make . It is a true art to take a raw piece of steel and create whatever you may need based on a blueprint, I am confident in my skills and would like to show your company I am that positive asset you are looking for. I am very determined to be a strong and positive roll model for my son (10 months old) and provide my family with the kind of life they not only deserve, but can be proud of as well.

WORK EXPERIENCE ( I have been working in restaurants since being laid off at McSwain Mfg. due to the economy.)

My basic duties at Midway consist of, come in, stock whatever items I may need for the evening, talk with previous cook, check out their work so they can leave, Check the situation on the many item we make from scratch, such as salad dressings, coleslaw, cooking off roast beef, ribs, ground beef for several items, and also checking the stock on sausage (we make as well), and tenderloins (we make those as well). At the same time I of course keep up with any orders, and cut any lunchmeat, onion rings, and make any soups we may need. I call it multi-tasking at its best, some of my co-workers call it unbelievable or crazy, but the owner likes it. And at the end of the night I do all the closing tasks that are required. (keep in mind there is only one cook for each shift, so you are on your own, so to speak)

I was certified in several areas here, including, broiler, mid (grill), fry, salads, prep, expediting, and dish. For every certification you recieved here, there was a 50 cent raise attached, so I tested for as many positions as possible, and as often as was allowed.

MCSWAIN MANUFACTURING

July 2010 - Janurary 2012

McSwain Mfg. State:OH

Manufacturing - Other

Last pay rate $19.00 per hr plus 8% shift diff. ($20.52 per hr)

I proved programs handed down from the engineers, adding or deleting passes for the program to bring the part within blueprint parameters. Taking a print from start to completion, in most cases with minimal help from egineers. Including introducing a program from start to finish on multiple cuts on both mills and lathes, but more experience with lathes.I have made parts so small you need a microscope to fully see(titanium screws for x-spine) and parts so large you had to load them in the machine with a celing crane (GE wind & GE Transpertation). This position is where I have most of my programming experience, most of the parts we made here were one off parts. I ran a massive Sun lathe most of the time, so using large measuring equiptment was an everyday requirement.

Last pay rate: $13.50 per hr

Set ups and machining of different medical parts on FANUC controlled CNC lathes and mills. Resposible for own QC and measuring with calipers, micrometers, depth meters, and go / no go gauges. At this position, I began as a machine opperator just doing my own offsets and changing inserts when needed, but within a few months I was helping other opperators with more complex tasks, such as program changes, setting up new jobs, and setting up tools (locating them in).

I worked as a machine opperator on Warner Swazy screw machines as well as old Acme screw machines. I also worked on CNC lathes and verticle mills, this company made many different parts from stainless steal to iron bar stock. I also have experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators, depth gauges, and other related measuring devises for parts ranging from tiny to huge. Not only setting up the machines, but in many cases making tool holders or the tool as well. Eventualy being promoted to shop foreman, I was also responsible for human resources, and scheduling not only employees, but jobs as well. I was even bidding jobs before moving back to Ohio from Indiana due to a family emergency.

3RD SHIFT MANAGER

At this position I worked on high speed printers and inserters, I have experience loading the printers as well as some setup experience. I was also the 3rd shift supervisor in charge of 95 employees, and $40 million in equiptment. It was my sole resposability to ensure that the jobs were getting set up and completed right the first time out. Most of the work we had were government contracts, such as Federal Tax Deposit coupons (FTD), 1040 booklets, SIPEBES, & ORPEBES (an earnings statement explaining your disability bennifit, if you were to become disabaled), and Title 16 (medicaid and welfare information letters). Needless to say our contracts being mostly with the government meant that everything had to be done to certain specifications in the shop, it was also my responsibility to ensure this was taking place throughout my shift. I was also responsible for the transfer of data off of mainframes to print servers, and ensuring that everything was not only set up correctly, but also the job was running the correct numbers and going in the propper zip code order so that the mailers could keep it in order to help the postal service get the mail out in a timely manner.

INTERESTS

Market speculation, collecting walking liberty half dollars (1916-1947), and rebuilding wrecked or damaged vehicles, just watching a wrecked car go from headed to the shredder, to not even be able to tell it was ever wrecked, or damaged, gives me a feeling of acomplishment that can only be reviled by taking a piece of raw steel, and transforming it into a needed part that is usefull and needed to acomplish someone elses goal or vision.
