College Projects and papers
M-Tech Project:
Title: “FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF CARBON NANO POLYMER COMPOSITES”.
Objective of the Project:
1. To develop a specimen finite element model (RVE) in Ansys workbench 12 for CNTs composite
considering matrix material as Bismalemide (BMI) and Polyethylene.
2. To impose material properties and boundary conditions based on experimental analysis.
3. To compare the Young’s modulus of composite 1 (BMI/MWCNT) and composite 2
(Polyethylene/MWCNT) considered by rule of mixture theory with finite element analysis for
validation.
4. To evolve the composite material having better mechanical properties.
5. To carry out comparative study considering a matrix component (Bracket) for comparison
between the best polymer composite evolved and Aluminium alloy by structural analysis and
modal analysis (frequency of vibration) for design application.
Bachelor of Engineering Project:
Title: “MULTIBODY DYNAMICS ANALYSIS OF CONNECTING ROD”.
Objective of the Project:
The analysis is carried out in order to analyze the NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) characteristics of
engine components.
1. To study the complex phenomenon of motion of IC engine parts by simulation method.
2. To develop the 3D geometric assembly model using a commercial modeling software, CATIA
V5, by retrieving the actual dimensions of the Kirloskar Diesel engine parts.
3. To develop a finite element model of the above assembly by exporting the geometric
assembly to meshing tools, viz., Hypermesh software.
Achievements
Winner of silver medal for M-Tech 1st year distinction award function held at Don Bosco Institute of
Technology, Banglore.
